Did you know the Salt City use to have an automobile company. The cars were built from 1902-34. Check this web site @ Franklin of Syracuse
Anybody want to guess why they went out of bussness? Today a city High School sits on the former Franklin site.

PS, wonder if this had anything to do with Syracuse Chiefs being a farm team of the Detroit Tigers?

The Franklin was a good car. Several thousand companies went out of business during the depression because no one had any money except the "old money" people and the banks.
