You said, "the first use of a word determines its meaning throughout scripture."

This is not at all what the Principle of First Mention refers to and is certainly not anything I said. Why to you continually and unethically twist these things to mean something I have not said (and you do not know that I even might have said it because you never read the article).

The very first Chapter is The Principles of Biblical Interpretation. Of course, you have not read that either.

The quote from C.I. Scofield is from Chapter Seven (you have not read that either).

You demean and ridicule what you have not read (does doing that actually make any sense to you?). Then, without offering ANY exegesis of Scripture to support your suppositions, you rant on. You are extremely arrogent, rude, and unkind and yet have the gall to call me unkind for rebuking you for it.

I never claimed to be an "authority" on anything. However I, like you, are a "source." Whether I am a reliable "source" must determinined by those who read the articles and the substance of the exegesis. You can't determine that because you have not (and will not) read the articles. You may not agree with what I have said, but at least provide equal exegesis to show why.

Obviously, you do not want to discuss these issues. You just want to antagonize those who oppose your position (which I have no idea what it is). Since you admittedly have not read anything I posted, you must have just decided that since one of your comrades posted something against what I said, you must be against it too.

Why don't you put up some actual exegesis of the Word of God to tell us why you believe what you do instead of just mocking, ridiculing and making silly, juvenile accusations.

You have put up four posts here and have not really said anything yet about the subject of the thread.

I think I will start ignoring you like I do your comrades who practice the same kind of unethical tactics.

If you do not want to read the articles, that is up to you. I did not provide them for people who do not want to read them. I provided them for those that do (and there are many, many that do).

After re-reading the posts, I see I owe you an apology. The PFM is not something you posted on this BB, but it is something another person pulled from the links you supplied, which I assumed was something you wrote or supported since it is on your website. Since I won't go to your website, I have no idea if you support what is presented there.

I also notice that the thread is not about actually discussing scripture.

This thread is devoted to discussing your book, and then getting as many people as possible to visit your website through the links you provide when they respond to you.

I don't really want to be a part of that.

Therefore, I'll apologize for my unkind words and step aside.

    peace to you:praying:

I accept your apology and forgive you.

I will even forgive you for judging my motives in this last post (even though you did not ask me to do so). :wavey:

Another good reason to compare Strong's with other sources. He clearly has read into the name "Israel" when he states it means "he shall rule as God."
    OOPS! You caught me again.

I just assumed that if you are providing multiple links to your website with every post you make that you are trying to get as many people as possible to visit your website. My mistake.

    peace to you:praying:

    Done with:1_grouphug: and :) 's.

I am interested in the subject you are discussing. I hope you can understand my reservations concerning following links. I would much rather discuss here.

We come from two very different understandings of scripture. If we can stick to a specific passage of scripture, or even a word or two(i.e. "Israel"), then we can make headway into a brotherly conversation concerning what God has actually revealed in His Word.

Once we (including myself here) allow personalities to get envolved, and we start taking little swipes at each other (comments about "being a scholar" or the "milk and cookies crowd") we are behaving in an UnChristlike way, and shaming ourselves and our Lord.

Scripture is the Word of Life that will set us apart (sanctify) from the world. If we stick to discussing scripture, and avoid all the rest, we can't go wrong.

    peace to you:praying:

    Dr.L.T.K.,may I call you Dr.K. for short?

How long have you had the belief that "the Holy Spirit inspired"the choice of the word 'whosoever'?Are you KJVO?Are you aware that the original autographs were not in English?!The Holy Spirit inspired the words of the original -- not the words of translations.Though of course the Holy Spirit does use the many translations of the Word of God to His ends.

Why does this fellow keep running an advert? I thought this was a violation of BB rules!

    Cheers,

I believe the Words of God are preserved in the original languages.

However, your question regarding the Greek words translated "whosoever" in Romans 10:13 is an important question germane to this discussion. I will be dealing with this to some extent in Chapter 23:

I did not ADVERTISE anything. I just posted a link.

Your posting rule number 7 states:
"[SIZE=-1]7. No solicitation or advertising of any kind. Our message boards are for discussions, not to sell goods or services. If you would like to advertise, please contact us for an advertising package"

I am selling nothing. Every legitimate question to me regarding the posted articles has been answered.

If you want to change the posting rules, that is your prerogative. However, I have not broken the rules as they presently stand.
