They can't nominate Jeb, and have serious shot. Mitt might make a better candidate with the lessons he learned from last time, but…..

You really think she has a shot? She might indeed beat Hillary in the Democratic Primary --but the American public will not have any sympathy for her in the General Election.

Just as a lot of people got a warm trickle up their leg {or down} electing the first black president, even if he were only half black, many more will get a warm trickle electing the first woman!

Sending a message in 2008 has brought the country into second place behind China!

That is like shooting yourself, not in the foot, but in the head. I don't like some of the so-called RINO's. I did not like McCain but look what we got. You really think that O"gamma is better than McCain or Romney. Romney had a history of social liberalism but he also had an exceptional history saving failing enterprises.

If Romney runs again, it will be his 3rd time. In his case, I don't think that 3rd time is the charm. I am not going to vote for him.

I am vehemently against Jeb in 2016.

Rand Paul has too much libertarian in him to appeal to the GOP rank and file.

Ted Cruz is interesting but Jeff Sessions is better.

Walker is very interesting but he only has had one term.

I don't like RINO's either but there is no reasonable alternative. Stay home and you assure the election of someone like Barak Obama.

Don't be too sure of that. She has a strong populist appeal that Hillary can only dream about.

The alternative is to start nominating actual conservatives

Take Hoosier Pence off the list.* Buckeye Kasich ran a good race last November--I wish that he had been so effective in Congress. I like all of the others that you name, OR.

*Mitch Daniels was smart enough to be President but his personal life would have been drug through the mud. He and his wife had a messy divorce and then were remarried. The records are currently sealed but the Democrats would unseal them in a Presidential contest. Daniels was federal budget director and then 8 years Governor of Indiana and is now President of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Not really, Bush and his cronies started that, Obama just never bothered with fixing it.

And that mentality is partly why Obama is in the White House. People wasting their votes on what they know to be forlorn hope candidates, sacrificing better for what they think is perfect.

I don't believe that is telling of anything. The primary reason he won was because he was black. He has lied so much he has damaged the party. Hillary has her own baggage. She has a failed run for the office already in her history. She has Benghazi and regardless of what some say it will have its effect on her. Given that OBama has lied so much bringing up Hillary's past of being fired from the watergate investigation for worse will make things hard on her.

Then the Primaries, not the General, is the time for protest voting.

I'm telling ya, there will be many many conservatives that will not vote for a RINO no matter what.

Then they may be proud of their principled stand if the vote is split and we end up with a third Democratic term in a row. Sacrificing a chance at Better on the unrealistic hope of Perfect.

Yours is the first rumor mill I've heard of Sessions possibly running----its good to know that the state of Alabama has the ability to produce such a political "Einstein" as Sessions seems to be(I voted for him in his recent reelection bid to the US Senate from our state)

Do you believe he's considering running??---because I do not read of any media leanings of him possibly doing so on any of the major broadcast channels here in the Heart of Dixie

    Platitude. I can offer one:

The lesser of two evils is still evil.
