Drinking Soda leads to Global Warming?

    OK, we went out to eat at our favorite restaurant today, my oldest son and I had a conversation..

    Since CO2 is supposed to cause Global Warming,

    And since the carbonation in Pepsi, Coke, etc is a result of CO2...

    We were wondering how long will it be before Soda Pop is blamed for Global Warming?

    So I came home and googled it, and sure enough there is an article...

    "Anyhow...now for the math:
    300 million people x 56 gallons per person x 3.78 liters per gallon x 6 grams of CO2 per liter soda / 1000 g per kg / 978 kg per ton =     389,570 tons of CO2 emitted by soft drinks yearly in America alone."

    It's a sin I say... everytime you drink a soda, you are polluting God's creation!!

    Carbonated drinks to cow f*rts causes global warming. I am not sure how they even say it with a straight face.

    Hey, it's not man that is polluting the world...

    It's those stupid, Coke drinking Polar Bears at Christmas time!!!

    Let's rename them "Suicide Bears"

    I don't like to think of it as harming polar bears, I like to think of it as helping trees. You can hug trees you know. Not a good idea with a polar bear!

    Actually, I like Coke but try to not have very much. It is not the same since they began using high-fructose corn syrup as the sweetener rather than sugar. That's why I buy Mexican coke when I can...still uses sugar. Original formula? I think not!

    MP, have you tried Jones Soda? I love that stuff, and it's made from pure cane sugar... I get mine at Walmart.

    I drank a Coke a while ago... it has been been yrs since I drank regular Coke, (I usually drink diet or if I feel like cheating, I like Jones' melon) and it isn't as good as I remembered.

    If drinking soda will help hasten the return of my Lord Jesus, then I will drink and burp to my heart's content !

    (diet only, of course.....burrrppp !!!! aaaaahhhhh !! wonderful !!! opening up one more can.).
