    Can anyone find me a FREE programme that will enable me to play DVDs on my computer (windows `98) There is a dvd player on the computer but I understand that I still need a driver or something ?????????

    Did you check the microsoft web site to see if they have any free downlaodable ones.

    I checked microsoft and couldn't find it. If anyone finds a free one to play dvd's let me know too ok. [​IMG]

    You need to find the manufacturer's name and the model number somewhere on the drive. Go to the mfr site and they will probably have a free download.

    How about freeware enabling your CD drive to play DVDs? I know there are software programs out there you can buy, but are any free?
