Emergency!

    My daughter-in-law and year and a half year old granddaughter are stranded in the airport at Memphis, TN. Flights have been cancelled due to snow and the airlines are offering no overnight accomodations.

    She has no more diapers for the baby and no milk. No one in the terminal sells diapers. Her cell phone is low on power and her charger is in her luggage, which she does not have access to. She is faced with spending the night at the terminal. The rental car agencies are not renting vehicles.

    Does anyone on this board live in Memphis? If so, would it be possible for you to get some diapers and possibly soy milk to her? I am at her destination airport and am leaving to drive to my home some 50 miles away. I am in SE Alabama.

    If anyone can help, please call the airport and ask them to page Renee Brooklyn. Renee is my D-I-L and Brooklyn is the baby. Surely she will recognize the page as being for her.

    I will owe you one!

    Cancel Emergency

    Just got a call that the airport is shutting down at 10:30 PM. They have put Renee on a shuttle along with other passengers and sent them on their own to try to find a place to stay. Renee is in a panic. Pray for her and Brooklyn.

    This is one of those times when one can only wring his hands and pace the floor.

    Brother, I promise you if I were any place where I can go to that airport I would have been on my way.

    But I live in Amherst, in the Buffalo area, in Western New York.

    Memphis. Memphis. I visited there. I don't know anyone there now. There is a Ronald Mcdonald House by St. Judes.

    I have reached out to three other boards. They are praying and maybe someone will turn up in that area. I did get one phone call from one of the other boards. They said that Hotel.com has some hotels listed with availablity right now.

    I hope and pray things work out well for her.
    Is she able to book a motel?
    Could someone call with a credit card to get her one?
    That doesn't help her get to a store to get diapers and milk but it is a start.

    I have a wife and a dauther that is about the age of that baby.
    I can only imagine what that would be like!

    Thank God they are in His hands!

    Just received a third contact by someone who will help.And a fourth who will pay for a room or anything they can by credit card over the phone.

    I just heard froma fifth contact who will help. The airline will not page her becasue we do not know the ariline she was to fly on.

    I need to go ahead and go to bed. But I want you to know that there have been alot of prayers all over this country for her and the baby last night. They will continue until we hear some news. Go ahead and contact me if you still need some assistance. There are a total of 5 people who can help in the area if this thing gets extended for very long. I will check back later. God Bless.

    he musta gone outta the house.
