Eunuchs.

    I was told recently that Eunuchs in the Bible were generally Homosexuals. Who were chosen to protect the wives of important people.

    Is there any truth to this?

    I dont see how a Eunuch can be a practising Homosexual, Isnt a Eunuch Castrated?

    I had never heard that before (that they were homosexuals). As I understand it, yes they castrated to remove their sex drive. Ummm, where did you hear that?

    The primary meaning of Eunuch in Hebrew means court officer, but the secondary meaning is one who has been castrated. They were deemed to be loyal or trustworthy.

    They were excluded from the house of Israel (Deut 23:1) and Jesus was referring in Mt 19:12 to those who sacrificed natural desires for the kingdom.

    Homosexuality does not enter into the picture. Also, it should be noted that homosexuality, male or female, does not always include sexual activities..It literally means having affections for the same sex.
