New evidence is exposing Russia's deepening role in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, suggesting Vladimir Putin may be preparing to gobble up more territory undeterred by NATO -- as a new U.S. military document highlights the extent of Moscow's aggression.

Bloomberg View reported that Ukraine security officials have found five Russian generals are playing a lead role commanding separatist units inside the country, despite Kremlin denials. This comes as aerial video shot by a drone -- and provided by pro-Ukraine fighting units -- depicts the build-up of a Russian military base with tanks and other gear in eastern Ukraine.

"We see a more assertive Russia trying to intimidate neighbors and change borders," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently said.

Gee you promised us evidence, so where is it?

Oh wait, the evidence is "we say so" just like all your other evidence.

"We say so" that proves it!

See these pictures? "We say so!"

Washington invaded Ukraine with it's NGOs, overthrew the elected government armed neo nazi who killed who knows how many then lied about it and is doing it's best to erase it from the public memory.

"we say so". Brought to you by the same people who fund and arm thousands of killers be they Islamic head choppers in the mid east or neo nazis nut jobs in Ukraine.

Yeah Rev this government that has no truth in it and works overtime taking advantage of one crisis after another to grab more power and control and turn us all against each other is all of a sudden a paragon of truth when it comes to Russia and Ukraine?

All I can say is . . . Do yourself a favor, go to Amazon and buy yourself a crowbar to pry your head out of . . . the sand.

I posted this in the politics section recently. Also, Russians are mourning the dead bodies being shipped home from Ukraine under Cargo 200, which is Russian military jargon for the shipment of bodies.

Add linkSome living in Transcarpathia, home to a variety of ethnic groups, say Russian media falsely portrays them as separatist.

CHYNADIYOVO, Ukraine — "When Olha Prokup thinks about the war in the east and the number of Ukrainian men who have died there, she is saddened by the human cost the fight against the Russian-backed separatists has taken on her country.

"Like many Ukrainians, she’s worried about the war. But as a member of a minority group, Prokup, 75, doesn’t understand why a year ago, the mostly Russian-speaking region of Donbass began the uprising that led to all the brutality.

“We don’t understand what they were complaining about,” she said, referring to claims by the pro-Russian rebels that the new EU-leaning government in Kiev was oppressing ethnic Russians and Russian speakers in Ukraine. “You see, even here we speak Russian, Ukrainian, even our native Ruthenian language. Nobody here is asking to leave Ukraine.”

"Minority groups in Transcarpathia, where Prokup lives, say that is not the way the Russian media would like the world to see things.

"As the conflict between Moscow-backed separatists and Kiev’s forces rages on in eastern Ukraine, minority groups say Russia’s state-owned media have been trying to provoke dissent in the multicultural region of Transcarpathia, on the edge of the European Union.

"Some in the region say that through a campaign of embellished and often outright fabricated news reports, the Kremlin has tried to paint a picture of frustration and distress among Ukraine’s minority groups living under an unsympathetic far-right nationalist government in Kiev."

    ..snip..

"What the Ruthenians say they aren’t interested in is autonomy or a people’s republic.

“Our issues with Kiev will be resolved only in a legal way,” Zhupan said. “We are Europeans, and we intend to go to Europe with the rest of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Govt. Acknowledges Some of Its Leaders Are Nazis

Already, Obama’s manager for the coup, Victoria Nuland, had, on February 4th, told the U.S. Ambassador, “I think Yats is the guy who’s got the economic experience, the governing experience. He’s the… what he needs is Klitsch and Tyahnybok on the outside. He needs to be talking to them four times a week, you know.” That appointment of Arseniy Yatsenyuk as the new Prime Minister dashed Tyagnibok’s hope of receiving an official appointment. As for Yarosh, here was his response when Tyagnibok suggested that Yarosh might do better in politics than he himself, because Tyagnibok was already publicly on record as being anti-Semitic, but Yarosh was not (both men knew that wanting to kill all Russians was okay in the USA but that wanting to kill all Jews was not, and whereas both men were publicly on record for wanting to kill all Russians, Yarosh had never spoken publicly about ‘Yids’):

“Go into politics. You have a lot of support.

D.Yarosh: Politics? Why? So I can wear a beautiful jacket? I already have the power. Gone are the times when we indulged slingshotting. Now I have so many weapons that it will be enough to break all kinds of ‘internal occupants’. If my guys have the SBU, I will bring order to the ‘katsapschine’ (East Ukraine derogatory [for the region where ethnic Russians predominate]) and in the Crimea. Katsaps will flee Sevastopol voluntarily. I’ll cause the earth to burn under their feet.”

So: Yarosh ended up commanding the paramilitaries for such operations as the massacre of regime-opponents inside the Odessa Trade Unions Building on 2 May 2014, and the subsequent ethnic cleansing operation in Ukraine’s former Donbass region, whose voters had voted over 90% for Yanukovych. That ethnic cleansing operation was called by the regime the “Anti Terrorist Operation” or “ATO.”

On 20 June 2015, Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko petitioned the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to declare the overthrow of Yanukovych to have been a coup, because he was now afraid that Yarosh would do the same to him that he had earlier done to Yanukovych — and which Yarosh hasrepeatedly threatened to do to him. However, the U.S. is not supporting another Ukrainian coup. The U.S. does, however, continue to give encouragement to Ukraine’s nazis, in other ways, so as not to antagonize them.

The purpose of President Obama in Ukraine is to weaken Russia. Ukraine’s nazis are determined to destroy Russia, and Obama needs their continued support in order for his plan for Ukraine to succeed. The economic sanctions against Russia are an important part of that plan.

Wonder why you three russophobes never want to talk about the neo nazis and the coup? That would sink your corporate media narrative wouldn't it?

    Better not go near it.

BTW I love how you guys will defend the corporate media's narratives ONLY when they line up with your own biases and fears. Any other time you refer to the corporate media as the "liberal" media and tell we can't believe a word they say.

Yes indeed out of one side of your mouth comes "the "liberal" media cannot tell the truth about anything". Then all of a sudden out of the other side of your mouth comes "the "liberal" media cannot tell a lie about Russia and Ukraine".

And to think it's you guys that always telling me I should be more objective . . . :tonofbricks:

I sort of wonder why you will do backflips in order to defend anything the Russians do.

Western NGO's may well have tried to tip public opinion away from Russia and towards the European Union. Well the Kremlin has tried to sway opinion towards separatism in Ukraine. Not only that, they seized the entire Crimea region. You have done nothing but defend their actions.

We hear many tales of Nazi oppression in Ukraine, but the funny thing is that Jews and other minorities there say no such thing.

There you go using that word "seized" again. I suggest you look it up in the dictionary evidently you don't know what it means.

I have to wonder why you'll do back flips to ignore the documented fact that the people of Crimea chose to re join the Russian Federation. There is no "seize" about it. No actually I have a pretty good idea why you keep doing this back flip.

Admitting the Crimean's voted 90% to re join the RF doesn't fit the media narrative.

Which you have down almost word for word now.

Ironically, while the Israeli media dismisses the matter, the Arab media has provided a far more balanced assessment of the threat to the Jewish community in Ukraine.

Rabbis in Kiev and across Ukraine spoke out, warning their congregations to stay off the streets and remain in their homes. The Jewish Agency in Jerusalem has moved swiftly to offer aid to elderly Jews living in greater Kiev. Food-delivery men are braving gunshots and Molotov cocktails to help them. Reports from Kiev say the police have been replaced by roving bands of undetermined loyalty.

… The fresh report of the firebombing of a new synagogue in Zaporizhia, 250 miles southeast of Kiev, increased the alarm in Israel and accelerated planning for all contingencies, including evacuations. (John Batchelor, Ultranationalist neo-Nazi parties on the march in Ukraine, Al Jazeera, February 25, 2014

    http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraine-and-the-politics-of-anti-semitism-west-upholds-neo-nazi-repression-of-ukraines-jewish-community/5370790

So, here we are back where we started. The "liberal" media hides evidence of wrong doing all the time, it leaves out important facts and evidence to drive it's narratives.

That's what you guys say when the "liberal" media is hiding the democrat's crimes. But when it hides the Ukrainian's crimes the "liberal" media is all of a sudden a paragon of truth.

And you claim I'm the one doing "back flips"?

Maybe you should look those words up to, while you have your dictionary out.

Hmm. In a referendum that didn't even offer the option of remaining united to Ukraine. Little bit of deck-stacking going on there?

Well yeah. There's a civil war going on there.

And of course you learned this "truth" from the same "liberal" media that cannot tell the truth any other time.

Yeah and who started the civil war? Washington, the EU, the IMF, Soros and their loyal neo nazi proxy fighters. These are the same people and organizations now telling you "Russia" started it all.

Gee whiz Washington sure gave Crimea a choice in the matter didn't it? Soon as the votes were counted Washington called it illegal. And this is after Washington initiated a bloody coup and installed neo nazi leaders in Kiev. Oh but we aren't supposed to discuss that. It doesn't fit the narrative and it makes our cognitive rub up against our dissonance. "Ow it hurts, it hurts, make it stop!"

"I must choose sides. I must choose sides, I must choose sides" so, "I will choose to side with a known liar and a corporate media that always pushes for war, wars and more war but that's cool because it makes me feel all patriotic and relieves the pain".

Thanks. But it wasn't so much a rant as it was an impersonation of you guys that claim Obama and the "liberal" media tell lies to move their agenda foward. Except when their lies and agenda align with your own fears and biases of course.

"Oh the pain, the pain, make it stop!"
