As we move towards Easter and the Passover season I was preparing a message on this subject when I came across something in Exodus 12:5 that I must have missed previously.

    The KVJ says:
    And the NIV says:
I looked up the word translated 'goats' in my Strong's concordance and it is the Hebrew word ez which is defined as a 'female goat, she-goat, goat, kid.'

Does this mean that the paschal lamb could have actually been a kid? Does this have any bearing on our interpretation of Matthew 25:32-33 which says (KJV):

    Please share your thoughts.

I would really like some other opinions on this question. How about it. Do you think the passover lamb could have been a goat or not? Am I in error reading this? Has this already been discussed?
