Moses had one incredible father-in-law! We aren't told WHY Moses sent his wife and sons back to his father-in-law, but when Jethro returned with them, there is no sign that he felt anything negative about Moses at all. Instead he listened to Moses, rejoiced with him, and worshiped with him. Then he watched what was going on before he offered any advice. Thus, the advice he offered, Moses took. That's a very short study this time. Now, go read the chapter again with the above in mind. We should all be like Jethro in his calm patience, watching, listening, and wise advice. We should all be like Moses in his humility in being able to take advice from his father-in-law. They are two fine men we can look up to as examples of some very fine qualities.
