Father in law

    We just got a call that my husband's father, Bill, had a stroke. He apparently has a blood clot in his lungs, and one which may have travelled into his brain. He is going into surgery right now..(1 am eastern time). He is not saved. We would appreciate prayer for him.

    made it through surgery

    Thank you for praying, he made it through the surgery. The blood vessels damaged in his brain by the stroke are minimal. He has been given heparin to disolve the clot in his lungs. I believe the Lord is gracious to give him more time to believe on Him!

    My husband is flying out to Illinois tomorrow morning, but we just got the call that the family wants to know if he wants them to wait 'till they take him off the ventilator. He is praying right now, whether he should ask them to wait for him....would Bill be aware enough to hear the gospel one last time? Tough decision to make.

    My husband called his brother and told him not to wait. My husband just left to take the flight to Chicago. I am not sure whether the family did decide to wait or not....it is all in the Lord's hands.

    Carl's dad died early this morning, as soon as he was taken off life support.

    We will be flying in as a family next weekend for the funeral...I am praying that there will be openings there to share the gospel with the family.

    So sad. Only God knows if he accepted Him as His Savior!

    We just got back from the funeral in Illinois. We witnessed to quite a few people during the past three days. Please pray for their salvation.
