    God says,

    Genesis 2:24 (New American Standard Bible)

    24For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

    I don't see where He said marraige is subject to state laws.
    Could you give me a biblical reference please?
