One of the members of the church I once pastored is from Costa Rica. She imports a native brand by the case and drops a bag off for me occasionally. I cannot give you the brand name, but no one would be able to get it on American store shelves anyway. It is luscious ... and it's free!

I'm cheap~I alternate between Walmart's Arabica and Columbian. My favorite coffees are found at convenience stores and gas stations:thumbs:

...and I only drink it strong and black...

This store in about 10 minutes away~~they have it all when it comes to coffee~~sometimes when my wife goes there to get her special teas I'll pick up some sampler bags of different coffees.

Sure smells good in there

    I know you are. :tongue3:

Actually, peaberries are quite a small, hand selected output of very special beans.

    I'm an amateur coffee drinker.
Half a cup in the morning, two creamers, half an Equal, a little cold water because I don't like it too hot.

I read the following poem in the first session of my Summer Sunday School class on Psalms to emphasize the importance of knowing who you’re speaking about.
We studied “Psalm 8 – How Majestic is Your Name”, that morning.

    I love you.
    I Adore you.
You are the first thing I think about when I awaken.
You are the reason I get up in the morning.
I couldn’t face my day without you.
Give me what it takes to be nice to those I meet during the day.
    Fill me with your power.
Without you in my life I would have no joy.
    You complete me.
    Thank you.

A Love Song to the Dark Lord

Of course it was written on a cup of joe.

I like mine hot enough to burn the hair off your tongue, black as chocolate cake and plain as a the desert sand. I don't care for all that fru fru stuff with it. I will leave that to the ladies.

A good friend of mine was on his honeymoon and went for breakfast with his bride to a diner. The waitress asked if they'd like coffee and when asked how would they like it, the husband said, "Just like I like my women." The waitress looked over at his sweet blonde wife and said, "Awww - light and sweet?" He shook his head. "Nope - black and strong." The waitress wasn't sure if he was joking or not until his wife started laughing.

So I always tease him now about his coffee. :) And I never forget how he likes it.

There was a time when I used the same line. Not really appropriate for me these days.

I enjoy my coffee strong, hot and black, nothing added. Most of the coffee I drink when not at home is from truck stops, very strong and I enjoy it. However when I go through La. I have to ask if they have coffee without chicory, I can't stand chicory.

Sometimes I use that line. And when I do, my wife just rolls her eyes.

I like Gevalia dark roast and their European coffee house blends at home. When I am out and about, I drink Starbucks house coffee or Holiday stationstore dark roast.

My all-time favorite is Hazelnut Decaf by Harmony Bay. My favorite plain, everyday coffee is Folger's Simply Smooth Decaf. I'll take any coffee though, as long as it's decaf with sucanat and lots of milk, skim milk, cream, half-and-half, fat-free half-and -half - you get the idea. :tongue3:

Flavored "coffee" is not coffee. It may taste good but it is not coffee. It is mostly flavored milk.

Two of my kids have worked for Starbucks. More than one cup of their coffee gives me a headache. Seattle's Best (owned by Starbucks) isn't burnt like Starbucks.

SBC was began as Stewart Brothers Coffee, two guys on Vashon Island but some outfit in Chicago (?) had a copywrite on that name so they changed it to Seattle's Best Coffee.

I like Costco french roast or San Francisco brand. Buying coffee at COSTCO pays for the membership.

I had some Eight O'Clock decaff a few nights ago at a friend's and it was one of the best decaf coffees I've had!
