Fundamentalist Sarcasm

    I don't know who these guys are but I found myself laughing out loud (mostly at myself) when reading it.

    Here are just a few examples:

    Fundamentalists: People who believe just about like you do.

    Militant Baptists: People who fight, and separate from one another, and fight and separate from one another and fight, and separate...

    Moderate Baptists: People who don't fight and separate from one another as vigorously and frequently as militant Baptists would like.

    Modified Baptists: People who fight and separate from the World, but are "compromisers" according to the Militants.

    New (Neo) Evangelicals: Intelligent, smarty-pants Christians who won't stand for anything.

    Preachers (Fundamentalist): The only real source of Biblical truth.

    Ministers: New evangelical preachers.

    Evangelists: People Baptist preachers pay off to tell their people what they don't have the guts to tell them theirselves.

    Christians: People who are disciples who trace their heritage back to Christ.

    Seminaries: Places young men go and lose their faith.

    Bible Colleges: Places young men go and lose their individuality.

    Fervent Prayer: Something Baptists talk about all the time but rarely do -- except in public.

    A Day Off: What many Baptists who take themselves too seriously desperately need.

    That link is just a short summary of a really funny 36 page book. They take some shots, but the authors are BOTH fundamentalists and have the right to poke fun at some of our foibles.
