What are gas prices now in your area? We had a thread back in the summer, and it was at least $4.00.

Now I just filled up for $1.92!! :godisgood:

The gas price as of today was 1.91 per gallon. It seems to have went down every couple of days for the past 2-3 weeks.

If this keeps up gas will be free!!!!!

I caught that.I wonder if anyone else paid attention. What is "down" for you would be really a vast increase for many others in the U.S.A.

Gas was 90.9 cents a litre to-day. Hope it keeps getting back to where it should be!

    Cheers,

$2.55 today. It hit $2.65 the other day so I filled up. Felt like I was stealing it at that price.

C4K says, "We are down to $5.29 a gallon!"

Is it safe to assume you have some sort of public transportation? Nearest train to me in soon to be frozen New Yawk is 20 miles away and goes to Buffalo or NYC.

I lived in Germany (1981-84) and took the train most places. Gas was expensive but you could offset the price by using public transportation that went just about everywhere.

Public transportation in Alabama is a pickup truck-----or if you're lucky(like I'm not) a Harley Davidson!!!

$1.95 here, we're pretty happy, didn't think we'd ever see it that low again.

I only use public transportation here. The minimum bus fare is 75 cents. When I go longer distances, in a bigger bus, I pay $1.80.I also use the subway system -- 90 cents can take you a fair distance.

We hit a high this summer of $4.19 (at least I think thats what it was), Today gas is $2.29 / Gal. I am hopping to see the below $2 mark soon. I know it won't last, but I'll take it when I can get it.

Drove to my mom's thursday night and filled up at 1.95 in Kentucky. In TN, it's still a tad over $2. In IL, I've seen variance between 2.09 and 2.25.

We don't have public transportation, we live in a tiny rural community. Here it's drive or walk for miles to buy milk and bread.
