There are so many Baptist churches, some being truly autonomous, and I haven't run into this belief before, i.e. the whole congregation being this adamant.

You will be very unhappy not being equally yoked in this matter. It will be like a "bad" marriage, and she, the church will be very angry when they find you are not really a Christian they wish to associate with.

God bless you as you step forward to give His Word of "believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved". That is in every Bible Version I have ever seen.

If you do not agree with the church on the issue Bible versions then you have no right trying to get a position there, as God hates those that sow discord among the bretheren.

It puts Jesus on the outside of the church wanting in....Those poor 3000 souls, thinking they are rich with the truth, while they are being deceived by Satan.

    Revelation 3:14-22
    (14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
    (15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
    (16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
    (17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
    (18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
    (19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
    (20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
    (21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
    (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I am mostly IFB, and I really don't get this whole idea about being baptized "into a local church" autonomy. I do believe in the importance of a "local church" as far as maintaining unity in beliefs and ecclesiastical separation from eccumenism, but I just don't see such tight atomic imagery of the "local church" in the Bible.

And as regards baptism, there seems to be the command to be baptized and to baptize others, as Philip baptized the Eunuch outside of the "auspices of the local church." I see no where in the Bible for a requirement of a believer to be a "member" of an atomic local church (not that there is anything wrong with that) and baptism having the purpose of, and being the permit for, becoming a "member" of such.

    Sent an email

What chapter and verse do you get this teaching that one must be Baptized if one was saved in a non King James Only church?

By such a statement you are saying that all non King James Only Fundamentalist Churches and institutions (including John MacArthur's church) and including Bob Jones University are wrong.

You know at my old church the church was accountable to the Bible (not a constitution). What chapter and verse do you get the doctrine that one must be Baptized a second time?

If you ignore this email, then I will know that you are not always ready to give an answer or to defend the faith (1 Pet 3:15) like you ought to be.

The Bible says we need to always be ready. My old pastor was always ready to defend the churches doctrine, John MacArthur is always ready, Hank Hanegraaf is always ready, and I strive to always be ready.

    Are you?

    The church

They are a good church outside of this doctrine, and some other more minor issues.

That is a rather anemic and carnal email/post. I'm not even sure who you're posting it for.
