No idea why it was removed initially, but nice to see it back
We had high winds here a few weeks ago and the wind got ahold of our neighbor's Sunday paper. It was everywhere; in trees, whipping down the street, flying through the air. You get the picture. A Sunday paper is pretty useful when it stays in one bundle in the mailbox. Blowing down the street unrestrained made one big mess.
Same thing with this endless C/A debate. It has blown into every recess of BB. Time to bundle it up and put it in a box.
If you're accustomed to using the 'New Posts' function the C/A feuds will still be shot gunned all through the other threads. They'll still be staring you in the face. Also it has to be a headache for the mods to be constantly moving or closing down threads.
:wavey: This forum has been here forever. We set it up 13 years ago because of all the animosity of C/A. We had one for Creationism for a while, too. We segregated other topics that were volatile and had more heat than light
Just got so tired of the vitriol on the Theology section (when we have so many other topics that have excellent discussion) that moving posts here seemed like "duh - why haven't we done this before?"
Is the forum going to become visible? Right now I can't detect it on my screen, what's up with that?
You won't be in a few days.....
 J/K Brother WD.....now to roll up my sleeves....and pantlegs....
Looking forward to seeing charges of heresy posted here. Wonder how long it will take?
Hey, let me get it started: Everyone here is a heretic, except me.
Everyone to the right and the left of me is 'hyper'.
I use the "New Posts" feature but will still ignore those threads.
I honestly never had any animosity toward Arminians at all until I started posting here and on that cesspool, OnlineBaptist. I even had several Arminian preachers on my ipod. I really thought the debate was something that just made for an interesting conversation and that we would just have to "agree to disagree" on, but which would ultimately fade in the unity we share in Christ.
Turns out that unity is the last thing the Finneyists want and they've already declared us heretics and apostates. Every post is just one more dig and insult. And I mean they're nasty, too.
So I want nothing else to do with them. They're awful people and couldn't form an intelligent thought if you put a gun to their head.
...And then burn it!
Yep, this forum is going to be a smashing success!
I think it will serve to do what it's intended to do if the mods, in the beginning from the gitgo, have zero tolerance for those who persist in gomming up the other forums with their obsessions to stamp out the opposition.
I don't envy the mod's position. My advice to them is to be ruthless and enforce it with a strong hand with infractions, or even suspension or banishment if it's deemed necessary.
And thus you're guilty of doing to Arminians what they charge Calvinists with doing to them. Both camps paint with a broad brush in maligning each other. Sad.
Heheh, a headache I know, but this thread should be moved already.
Never mind, I just now noticed this thread is where it's supposed to be. Carry on with the hate, dissension, railing, slander, and trouble.
OK. Prove me wrong. Show me the Arminian who has not taken that stand.
Better yet, show me an Arminian who has disagreed with "Dr"JamesAch and his insane ramblings.
I don't claim to be Arminian, but I am a non-Cal, and three of my best friends here are Calvinist.
But you go right ahead with hating your brother if it brings you pleasure. But maybe you should remember what the Bible says about it.
OK. you go right ahead with your false accusations. But maybe you should remember what the Bible says about it.
I agree. We can keep all the animals in the same pen and spare the innocent bystanders.
Denying what you said? Too bad for you that it's too late to go back and edit it out.
