    If you believe the men themselves did not know why they were imprisoned, I believe you are being incredibly naive. But it does gain sympathy for them by pretending they don't know.
    It is true , they were never "charged". But that doesn't mean they didn't know what the allegations were.

    If there are genuine allegations, let them be put by way of charge and be out before a court.

    PL, torture is illegal under international law.
