Do you find yourself annoyed with the booming out of music (a very loose use of the word "music", you do understand), at roughly four times the noise level of a Boeing 747 or B-52 taking off, and most often associated with the congregating of teenagers?

I get annoyed with it (the noise, not the teenagers), and if you are one of those who agrees with me on this, then check out what I say is a long overdue, beneficial invention!

One 15 year old described it in this manner:

"It's horrible, loud and irritating, ... It's this screeching sound that you have to get away from, or it will drive you crazy."

Duh!! Sort of a taste of their own medicine, I'd say.

I don't see the article or the device has anything to do with music, just torture.

If crime rates drop because of the installation of the mosquito, then law enforcement agencies should welcome the devices in every town across America.

I consider having to hear the "boom boxes" and car stereos at 200 DB torture, as well.

We need these devices in my area. Children who loiter are usually up to no good or they find trouble.

    Idle hands.....

Especially the ones who on Friday night are just out driving around then they all park in the stores parking lots. Nothing but trouble.
Move the driving age up to eighteen.

They have been using them in Britain as well, and they are at least as needed over here :wavey:

Even at age 62 I could probably hear it, because my ears are very sensitive to high pitched sounds. That's why I can't stand most women singers or most male tenors.

Another idea along similar lines that has been used by one or two supermarkets here is to play gentle, classical music on loudspeakers.
