    I met J.D. on two occasions, once around 1975 and again, about twelve years later. The first time I met him I wanted to impress him with my low voice ( I have a natural baritone, but can bring it down considerably) However, I got nervous doing "Wellll"and sounded like I was doing a falsetto instead of bass. J.D.looked down at me quizzically ( like Jed Clampitt dealing with Jethro) but was polite. He was a tall guy!

    I met Richard Sterbin ( from the Oakridge Boys) after my first J.D. encounter, but retained my natural speaking style. A-humba,a-humba, mal-mal!

    I'm very sorry, it seems that my recognition of musical artists is quite bad. I was thinking of Earl Scruggs who happens to be very much alive.:eek:

    Oh well, I never said that I knew every thing. :BangHead:
