It is an outright lie that if the President fails at taking the country in the wrong direction that means the country fails. The President has no more power that any of the other branches of government. (government 101) All three branches of government are equal.

Someone is showing their ignorance in a grand way.

More specificaly, Rush wanted Obamas policies to fail - since many of them were poor policies.

Its not just the Republicians - why wont the deamoncrats compromise?

First - do you have the reference for the million more votes and the gerrymandering?
second, how many of those deamoncrats ran unopposed? That would account for many of those million votes

:applause: SN I kid you not. Those were my sentiments after the first Presidential debate during the last cycle. There was something about the way they spoke to each other afterwards that said "this is all for show for the American people and we're really on the same side working towards the same things".

Back in 2011, the latest numbers I see, the average Senator was worth 14 million. The average member of the House, 6.6 million.

But they represent the people?[IMG] That's hilarious. Why aren't the people represented by the run of the mill factory worker or single mom trying to make ends meet?

I don't behoove anyone for having money. But I think the love of that money has made our "representatives" more representative of themselves and their quest for more for them than they are for America.

No, not obvious at all. What is obvious, is you do not honestly even care what was said. You will report it whatever way suits you.

I know the difference between the two. OK. It is a Republic. So what? Why did GW Bush try to force democracy/republic on other countries?

In reality we live in neither one. I've heard radical Republicans decry the "tyranny of the majority." They don't care about the principles that this country was founded upon. They only care about getting what they want.

Sorry, but when a president or the federal government is doing something harmful and contrary to principles of liberty, I feel no obligation to root for their success.

ObamaCare has been the law of the land for 4 years. What other laws do you refuse to accept?

I usually do not watch CSPAN, but have been today. Words to describe the actions of this 535 member circus are beyond human language. This is a collection of human trash, and we are paying for it. Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell are a disgrace to this nation. It reminds me of teaching elementary school. Oh how I wish I could be dictator of the United States for just 24 hours.

There may be a difference under an electron microscope. The gap is the Constitution on one side and the two parties bunched up together on the other. The Republican apologists on this board are just as guilty as the most left liberal.

Who cares what "Rush says." He is a sacrilegious, pill popping, womanizing, fat, self indulgent slob. End of story. That is why there is an off switch.

Abortion has been legal for 40 years. Do you as a Christian accept the murder of unborn human beings?

You misunderstand, my friend; Clinton will be shocked if Obamacare doesn't end up making the American public so angry that we demand a better system, and subsequently get the government health system that they really wanted us to get all along. So naturally Clinton will be shocked if it doesn't work.... ;)

Conversely, DOMA was the law of the land - and Obama came out and said his admin will NOT enforce it.

    Looks like both sides....

Has been for quite a while. They just have to throw their "constituents" a bone every now and then to make it look like they are for and against the same things.

No, by all means, he would be better jumping on your band wagon. Your standards are so high and reach all the way to our founding principles. Your corner stone is Rush Limbaugh, your foundation Mitt Romney, and your pillar is John McCain. Yes indeed.

Wear the badge of liberal Republican apologist proudly.

Jesus also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” - Luke 18:9-14

    So, which one are you?

The parable has nothing to do with me. Why would a Christian listen to someone with no respect for the living God? If that is the best you can do for your political and world event commentary, then watch reruns of the Gong Show.

The day that Rush Limbaugh says "God, be merciful to me a sinner," I will start listening to him. Say, how does that square with "talent on loan from God" as he pops his pills, stuffs his fat gut, and leads an adulterous life style.

If you are going to get on the radio and demean those who are for abortion and gay rights, while being a champion for family rights and right to life, then by golly, live the part. Otherwise, he needs to shut up.

Is that the best you've got? I think you've been watching Fox News and Rush too often. You've lost the ability to think rationally.
