What was on display Thursday night was a party with no plans to solve the problems that Americans actually face. There were no details about helping students buried under student loans, or parents who would like to spend more than a week or two with a newborn child. They want to shut down Planned Parenthood but don’t want to help women — or men or children for that matter — get the health care they need

    ----------------------------------------------------------

What was missing entirely was real solutions. Solutions for climate change and creating jobs. Solutions for criminal justice reform and the immigration crisis. The Republican party showed us the best it had to offer Thursday night. It wasn’t much.

    The problems with this op:

    1. It fails to take into consideration they answered the questions they were asked and it was not possible to address every issue in one evening.

    2. It is dishonest to say that they have no plan on certain issues just because it is not a far left extremists plan.

    3. Climate change is not a real issue but simply a far left excuse to bilk the rich in order to redistribute American wealth outside of the country.

    4. See my signature.

What did they propose they would do to address the problems we face?

Did they propose any solutions on:

    Student loans
    Health care
    Education
    Wages
    Pollution

No, they didn't and don't hide behind the questions asked. Since when have politicians, if they have anything to say, not said it.

Did you watch the debate or are you just repeating left wing rhetoric?

I watched until I realized there was nothing to watch. It was obvious they were still card-carrying members of the party of NO and had no real solutions.

They know what they are against, but have no ideas or plans of what to do to help the country.

What positive ideas were brought forth to help the country move forward?

In the first debate I thought Carley Fiorina did the best job and seemed to be able to think.

I am not convinced from this post that you watched any of it. Sorry I am not trying to be rude here but it appears you are trying to tear down that which you have no actual knowledge of. You are merely repeating talking points and as of yet have shown no substance in your opposition to conservatism or these candidates.

I looked at the very short opinion piece you linked to twice and it is as liberals always are, "If it is not our way then they have no way" and such mentalities are dishonest, unChristian, and only create barriers to discussions on how to deal with these things.

When you and those like the author of the op, this Jesse Burny, (if that is who he really is) start working to deal with those who have positions you disagree with in a fashion that shows some integrity and respect for the other person then discussion like these can be had and provide some real edification.

Right now what you want is to merely be damning. I will leave you to it.

OK. That is your thought. I will defend your right to your opinions whether I agree with them or not.

Regardless there were no positive ideas among the candidates in helping the country advance forward. Just continuing to say what they are against.

They that is also the position you should take on the GOP as they continually to dwell on what they are against while advancing no constructive ideas on the way forward.

I watched part of the happy hour and all of the 8:00 debate. I would have watched all of the happy hour had I known it was going to be on.

The GOP contenders were given one minute and in some cases 30 seconds to answer questions that weren't so simple and had multiple layers to them.

CTB, The articles you cites claim they had offered no solutions to student loans, maternity/paternity leave, support of women's health outside of Planned Parenthood, climate change, and criminal justice reform.

It's really simple why they did not discuss these things.

They weren't asked about them. The moderators, who controlled the discussion, never brought these subjects up.

But as for job creation and immigration problems, yes, some of the contenders DID bring up what was done in their states for these problems and Rubio talked about support for people who are trying to get in legally.

Not Constitutional - if anything - would be a State/Local issue.

Some said - delete Obama care (sounds good to me)

Admit it, Crabtown, you are going to vote for Hillary or whoever the Democrat nominee is.

The Democrats are not interested in making America great again.

Too early to make a decision. She isn't the nominee yet and she may not win.

I have to wait and see which candidates are actually running, what they say and then I can make a decision.

It may well be another hold my nose and vote for the evil of two lessors.

Just a bunch of nothing from all of them. The next debate should be whittled down to Trump, Rubio, Cruz, Christie, Huckabee and Fiorina.

Unimpressed with Bush, Kasich, Carson, Paul, or Walker. They seemed dull and absent energy or substance.

Question was not asked of them.

    Question wasn't asked.

Health care question was not asked.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

These topics were not in the questions that were asked.

Was talked about in general terms. Hard to address a complex issue like this in 60 seconds. Most said they were for using e-verifying, building a fence, speeding up legal applications.

I'm guessing you didn't actually watch the debate, just reporting on headlines from your leftist web sites.
