I didn't say that it was "on behalf of Christianity", but "by Christians". If that is your criterion, then you have to leave off all of what Saddam Hussein did as he did not commit atrocities "on behalf of Islam".

    Is Iraq all you have?

So, those among our troops that are actually Christians are committing murder and mayhem. I'm sure they'll be glad to know you think so.

    No, clarification.

How about the Lord's Resistance Army? How about IRA? Many people consider the Bosnian slaughter to have been religiously motivated. Are the Phalanges in Lebannon too distant to count?

Do you think war is all about lollipops and soccer fields?

Yeah, but if terrorists and/or extremists are defined as only Moslems, and some here seems to be arguing that this is the case, then aren't we engaged in a GWOM or a GSAI?

Does this mean that you no longer believe our Christian troops are committing murder? I surely hope so.
Scratch around some more. Maybe you can come up with more specious axamples of Christians committing murder and mayhem like muslims.

Of course muslims are killing because their religion tells them they should. To you, are the Christian motives in your examples doing the same?

War all about lollipops and soccer fields? Do you have some personal experience with war that you think you know what it's really about? Maybe even how it feels? And smells? Please share that with us if you do.

Touche; that was not well-thought out on my part.

I think that we as a nation have committed murder by war. The moral responsibility belongs to all of us as a nation. (I hope I've expressed it the way I actually mean it; I often have difficulty it seems).

"Ants get trampled when elephants dance". Murder and mayhem, death and destruction are the inevitable by-products of war. If the elephants chose to dance on the anthill, knowing the ants will die, but without intention, is it murder or mere killing? I don't think it makes much differents to the ants; needlessly dead is needlessly dead. I don't think it matters to the elephants either; who cares about ants?

    See previously posted examples above.

That is overly simplistic although occasionally true. They also kill for patriotism, revenge, land, political rivalry, control of resources, honor, spite....like people of every religion. Moslems are people, subject to the same drives and ambitions.

Again, occasionally; again, that's overly simplistic. I think it is often used as an excuse and has been over the millenia.

So what about you? Do you feel no compunction over the avoidable deaths of men, women and children who are Moslem because they are Moslem and not Christian?

Do you, as some do, genuinely believe that almost every Moslem wants you dead because you are an infidel and "their religion tells them to"?

Assuming you meant the non-parenthetical part, because we are a democracy. We chose our leaders who decided to invade Iraq. The death of innocents in a war can be foreseen - it is part of the cost of war.

Do you disagree? I would like to disassociate myself from the responsibility since I was opposed from the beginning - do you think I can?
