Hawaii - What NOT to Miss??

    Spent a week a couple years ago on Waikiki and did the Oahu tours and stuff there.

    Wondering what YOU would "not miss" if you could spend a week or two anywhere in the state?

    I was there when I was 17. My grandmother and her friends went on an "old ladies" tour. My best friend and I had just graduated from high school and the old ladies talked the leader of the tour into letting us go as a graduation present.

    I remember the Pearl Harbor tour very well. It was quite moving, even to a 17 year old.

    I wish that my best friend and I had gotten to spend more time on the actual beaches. I would have enjoyed the beauty of nature tours better than the shows we saw.

    We took hula lessons, but I would have prefered snorkeling/scuba lessons.

    Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Hawaii very much and would like to go back. I would just steer clear of the commercial outings and focus on the natural beauty of the state.

    I would definetly seek out Magnum P.I. and get a picture & autograph. Maybe even get TC to give me a chopper ride around the islands.

    Just afraid of a tour to Jurasic Park. Looped Oahu on the last trip and just drove by where that was filmed.
