Health Care Reformation PASSES ???? (I think)

Whether we like it or not... whether we agree with it; hate; love it; see it as a long awaited entitlement, or, the final straw that broke the back of this Republic... Democracy... nation, etc. the truth is, this bill will be law by this time next month.

The Tea Party couldn't stop it... the victory of Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts was to little, too late, but, that is now water under every bridge in America.

The only good that I see coming out of this bill is that ALL of us can now blame Bush. That should make a lot of people in America happy! Sad, but true, had he not been so "stiff-necked" those last few years in office, maybe Obama would not have won, but, but, that too, is water under every bridge in America.

All of us can see how Bush went about making Democrats out-of-loyal Republicans, and more so, out of those valuable Independents. Bush is the reason we now have health reform, and no one on this planet can change that fact. This one is actually on George's back, and if the politicans in DC continue to ignore the collective voice of the people, their anger will get you removed from office!

The Democrats should have learned from Bush - during this fight to get health insurance passed - that if they alienate the general public, they will be politically put-out-to-pasture; retired-at-the-ballot-box; "zapped by the folks at CNN, or Fox (depending on the political party), or, simply put: "kicked-out-of-office."

The November General Elections will be the first place where the anger of the general public will surface, again, in an attempt to bring about some kind of change in a frantic attempt to get America back on the right track. But, it didn't work in 2008, and it won't work in 2010, or 2012...

Vengeance and anger brought us the "beast [Obama], and if we don't take a moment to breathe and reflect and make a decision based upon genuine calm, not anger, who knows how much worse our nation's politics will become?

I couldn't help but watch in total disgust as people in the background of television news reports shouted that they finally got what America owed them. I couldn't help but reflect upon the fact that this basic sense of self-entitlement is going to destroy this nation, and only the voters can change this before we allow the entitled generation of social welfare recipients, illegal immigrants, and corrupted politicians cease full control of America, and drag it down with them.

No one is entitled to government paid health insurance. NOBODY! If we are entitled to anything, as Americans, it is the right to "good" employment and enough money to purchase a health insurance plan to provide us with that "safety net" when our health takes a "dive."

If Obama really wanted to provide national health care for the citizens of America, he should have provided all of us with a health care plan that provided health care, without any cost to us, but, he didn't do this, did he??? No! What he got all of us was something that we'll all come to hate. Just wait and see if I'm right.

The truth is, there is a difference between national health care, and national health insurance. And, once the honeymoon is over, and believe me, it will come to a screeching halt... people will wake-up to smell the coffee, and find that this Obama-care is going to cost them an arm-and-a-leg, and they'll be no better off than they were before the plan was voted/reconciled/deemed to pass into law, with the difference being, that under Obama-care, people will now have to pay, or, be fined.

The personal cost to each Ameican should have been debated, argued and discussed, because this is what was more important than what it will cost us collectivlely as taxpayers. The personal cost to get some measly little plan will more than likely take most of our pay checks, and that will be the beginning of the end in this costly experiment.

Than again, maybe those who felt entitled to health insurance, just won't get it! Do you get it?

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

OK, so I'm lost here. Where did you read that it passed?

    Sorry....

I being a little prophetic ... actually, it looks certain that it will be a law, one way or the other [by deemed to pass, reconciliation, or, by vote], so I thought I'd get the jump on the national media, and have the Board be the first to run a post on the passing of the bill. In California, we have been taught to say [about the big earthquake] it is not "if" the quake hits, but, "when" it hits!

A little reality is just giving me the leg up on national media with this eye catching, sensational type of title. And, I'm trying to make it easier for me to accept reality by using some sarcasm and subtle humor... I'm sorry if you don't get it.

I take no pleasure in saying this 'Pastor Paul', but capitulating to the devil as though he's already won, even if meant in jest, is like giving up the fight... and discouraging to those still in the battle.
    Peace to you.

I can't figure out which side of the issue you are on. In other posts, you have said:

So, do you believe that there should be some form of health insurance provided by the government or not?

    Please Forgive me Windy...

I took no pleasure in writing that post, but, the truth was evident... if Obama is good at one thing, it is whipping up his minions, and his speech the other day rang out loud that the battle was "over." I could see beyond that speech to see that he knew what most of us found out today... the battle was won by the 'progressive lefts."

We are in a fight, no strike that... we are in a "battle" for this nation, and when you're locked in a life and death struggle, you need to know when to cut and run.

The time to retreat was the other day. The time to acknowledge that the other side had taken the hill, was the other day.

I don't see that as "capitulating to the devil... giving up the fight... and discouraging to those still in the battle." It is telling your soldiers to pack and move to a more defensible ground, and get ready for another day of battle.

Like you, I truly thought we had a chance to win that battle. But, a wise person once said, "Choose wisely which 'hill' you want to die on!"

There was no dishonor in admitting that the battle was lost, because we at least have a new day, and time to develop a new battle plan.

I hope you see this like I do... our next big battle is at the polls. Every election we have from this day forward is our new battle field, and with God's help, and the prayers of the faithful, we can still change the direction this country is currently headed in.

You had better prepare yourself for the "gloating" that will come from Obama, Pelosi, and the Dem's. The next few days and weeks will be hard to listen to... and there will be a national bump in the polls for the Dem's, even though a majority of the nation will be down right angry.

I hope you understand where I was coming from. I was simply trying to admit, earlier than others, that we were defeated... and why we were defeated... the evil in this nation is getting legs underneath their movement, and the sooner we realize this and turn our energy toward a new and more fervent prayer, the better prepared we'll be for the battles that lay ahead of us...

I never meant to "discourage anyone, but, I can see how my post would have been discouraging. Any time you lose a major battle, there is loss, grief and discouragement. I was hoping to take the "sting" out of the loss we had today... by admitting it a few days earlier.

It will take more than Scott Brown to get the war won, and today is a sobering, eye-opening wake up call.

So please forgive me, and let's get back on the same path to defeat the tyranny that is trying to overwhelm and control this nation.

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

    You Flatter Me, Matt...

I can't believe that you took the time and effort to pull up statements from past posts.
To answer your question: I think the country needed to reform Medicaid, not over haul the entire insurance system.

I meant this: NO ONE IS ENTITLED to health insurance. Health care is not health insurance. Insurance is something earned by our individual hard work. Health care is a given service on behalf of our government, given to those who can't afford to make it on their own. And that is nothing to be ashamed off, because every society throughout time has had those less fortunate to care for.

What the people in this nation deserve, when they can't afford what many can, is some form of safety net for health issues and health care. That could be accomplished through reforming Medicaid, not taking away the health insurance plans of the employed, hardworking people that have made this nation great.

I firmly believe that the pay offered to those on the bottom of our society is a "joke" let alone enough to purchase health care insurance. And if America won't provide a livable wage for everyone, than they need to have a plan to make sure everyone, who can't afford insurance, a way to get the necessary health care they need, when needed.

This Obama care was not the right way. This plan is going to take away the insurance plan of the middle class, and replace it with a plan that puts the middle class [who can't afford to pay the new, and much more costly insurance plans ushered in by Obama-care] in the same class as those who can't afford a plan right now. Obama-care is truly a socialist type plan, and it isn't right, nor, is it fair.

If I'm wrong, than I'll be the first to say so, and apologize. But, at this time, it appears that Obama-care will make the middle-class and the lower-class all the same, and for those of us who can afford a better plan because we have a job that makes it possible, this is not fair, and it is definitely not AMERICA as I used to know it!!!

Medicaid reform would have been the way to go... now we we'll have a plan for those who can't afford one, and may not want one [and they'll be be fined for their choice], and those who once could afford to pay their own pay through this life, will be lowered into a plan that won't meet their needs, like they once had those needs met...

Now you know where I stand... and maybe you can see why I sarcastic, angry, and frustrated with the "Change" Obama has brought us. It may be "Change we can believe in" but, it will also be "change we'll have to like, like-it-or-not!"

This POTUS is much more dangerous than any leader this nation has ever before known. And that is something you will one day wake up to see... just hope you wake up before it's too late!!!

    Shalom,
