On Tuesday Evening I suffered from severe chest and arm pain on the left side. I broke out in a cold sweat and my face turned flush. I was admitted to the hospital where they ran several tests on me to include a heart Cath. The x-ray showed some minimal amount of fluid around the heart. The heart Cath showed some plaque. They are not 100% positive I had a heart attack but will not rule it out. I am now on blood pressure and cholesterol meds as well as an aspirin a day. I still feel weak and puny. I will follow up with my cardiologist here shortly. I am still having some chest discomfort today but the pain is spuratic and minimal. I need to discover the problem without doubt and find a resolution for it. And at 6'5" and 317 I need to lose some weight. Thanks for any prayers. God Bless

    I'm praying for you!

A drastic change in my eating habits for my health was the hardest thing I ever did (it was years ago originally) and will forever be a problem because of the value society places on food. THAT and we are Baptists ;)

I guess an added difficulty is the back injury that stops me from exercise.

    Praying for you.

If what you suffered was a heart attack, it can be a huge motivator for lifestyle changes. And with the help of the modern drugs you are on (diuretic, statin, beta blocker, ACE inhibitor, aspirin, etc), that life can be still be quite long if the lifestyle changes are successfully made.

Of course all things are under God\'s sovereign will which I am praying for.

For I, the LORD, am your healer. Exodus 15:26 (NASB)

:praying: with all of your other prayer warriors.
Exercising with a back injury,if you are confined to a wheelchair could you possible
move your legs slowly for one minute a day and then keep adding a minute each week? I am not a doctor and think that you might want to check with your doctor before you engage in any time of exercising. Maybe, you use a swimming pool
    to exercise?

Just some thoughts and yes,we are praying.
