you could bribe them? or tell them that their performance will gratify the hearts of everyone in the room and it would be a blessing to hear them play, to listen to their music talents.

LOL, Kayla, you'd better explain your cryptic comment to me sometime soon! :D
Anyways, Kayla, prehaps you'll just have to pray about that. I have some friends I've tried to get to sing with me since like forever. One of em would rather be dead than do anything with me (LOL when the song leader made him sing a duet with me in choir, he acted like using the same hymnal would kill him!) and the other preaches at the nursing home weekly. I go with him and we sing, but he just dosn't want to get in front of the church. My preacher declairs he can't sing (he has a great bass) and only recently did he sing....and it was AFTER service were only a few people heard him.
My grandpa only sings with me at home. He can't stand crowds.
Hehe, and even I'm stobourn about the piano! I've played piano for a little over two years, but only ONCE in church! That's because when I first tried in church I was so nervous, and missed so many notes I had to start over, and some of the guys picked at me about it later. After that I'd play the church piano before services, but even then, they'd make jokes. I'm sure it was in fun, but I'd rather not subject myself to that anymore than I have to. I have enough quirks in my personality as it is! My grandma keeps asking (and asking and asking ect.) and I keep sayin' no. I'll probably keep doing saying no I'm sure!
My point? Most people have a reason behind why they won't do something. Check with her and see WHY she won't do it, and then pray she'll over come it. (Just don't let my grandma know I said that! :D )

Kayla, Pray that if God want's them to play the piano, He won't give them a moment's peace about it until they step up to the job. That's what my Gramma did...and I now play the piano on Wednesday nights while she does Awanas. :D

Help them have a passion for it... I enjoy getting to play music in church every Sunday because I realize that God has given music as a gift from Him, and I realize that He has gifted me (somewhat lol) with the ability. Therefore, I welcome the idea to be used by Him.

    God bless!

She is the best I have ever heard in my life and now that I have heard play my favorite song I can't stand to sing it with anyone else playing it on the piano. And I want to sing it in church soooooooo badly. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hey! I was jsut thinking that it is great that you want her to play for church, but really she has to do it for God's glory or it is in vain! Just tell her she is good and try to do an offertory or special, if she thinks it is a good idea tell her not to do it for you or her or the church or the pastor or anyone else BUT GOD!

I Corinthians 10.31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do to all to the glory of God."
Psalm 66.1 "Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands."
