At this point, it looks like the Middle East is nearly in a full-scale war...Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Jihad, and other terrorist groups need wiped out. I only hope Bush and Rice support Israel and butt out. We already know Russia and France and the UN are condemning Israel. Israel will stand alone if the US turns our backs on her and then woe to us.

As much as I hate to admit it, we've never really been a good friend to Israel. Sure, we've paid them lip service, but every time they've had an opportunity to get up and stop these animals, we've talked them out of it.

I remember being furious with President Bush 41 for stopping Israel from going after Iraq. Not only would they have been victorious, but that would have sent a powerful message. When Israel bombed Iraq's nuclear reactors, that was a tremendous victory. If you recall, they were pretty much the 800lb gorilla on that block for about ten years.

This time, it looks like the all out brawl we've been expecting for years. I truly do believe that the camel's back has been broken, and I just don't see any way out of it.

The good news is that it looks like this time (let's keep our fingers crossed) the US is going to show a little backbone and stand behind them.

We've already stood up for Israel at the UN today and President Bush has affirmed their right to defend themselves.

Short of committing troops, which I don't believe would be wise at this time, the very best thing we could do to support our allies in the Middle East and to strike a blow against terrorism is to bring back an FDR mindset of helping to supply our Allies.

God have mercy on anybody stupid enough to go after Israel.

Two points and a prayer request:

    1. Those of you who are strongly wanting Bush to butt out and support Israel, are you ready to put our American troops where your mouths are when it truly becomes all out war against Syria, Iran, Hamas, Lebanon, or are we going to play isolationists again?

    2. If America does cave to UN resolutions against Israel, it will be because of pressure from China who are threatening to veto resolutions against North Korea. Folks, are we as Americans going to grow a spine and be ready to have WW3 breakout with Russia, North Korea, China, and the terrorists in the Middle East against America, Israel, UK, Iraq, South Korea, and Japan? It is coming. If you think the Communist countries are neutral in this conflict, guess again.

Now, for a prayer request: Some friends of ours have family who live in Haifa, which is one of those towns in Israel being attacked by rockets today. Please pray for their safety.

Joseph, I will always support Israel - for additional reasons than you would, no doubt, since you and I have different eschalogical views.

I am more willing for an American President (it won't be Bush) to place American troops to support Israel (rather than in Iraq to set up a muslim state) IF - and truly IF - it is fought as we fought in WW2 - to achieve victory - NOT as part of some sick political game by politicians - like we did in Korea, Vietnam, and now in Afghanistan and Iraq.

For instance, like telling our troops to "stand down" after they have fought long and hard, suffered deaths and injuries, just so there can be a possible "truce" with the enemy (like at Sadr City, or like in Afghanistan so Pakistani planes could come in and remove people during so-called truce times, etc.), having our military battle for control of a city (like Fallujah and Ramadi, etc.) - and then call them back so only a few months later, they have to fight, bleed, and die once again as cannon fodder for some demented heads of state and their goofball advisors to keep from offending anyone or losing global investments.

It has to be all out with the goal of victory - letting, in this case, Israel take the lead - not us and our twisted foreign policies over oil. And yes, I'm willing to sacrifice for that - to stamp out political correctness and call it like it is and name the enemy - just who it is we are fighting and why - instead of crossword puzzle politically correct don't offend the muslims because we need their oil - and don't mess up the global free trade economy - mentality.

This President may defend Israel with words, but I find it difficult to believe he is doing it because of any devotion to either democracy or Israel - it may be just to save face because of his stupid Road Map plan of making deals with terrorists, which anyone with two brain cells to rub together, could have figured out ahead of the Gaza pullout. But enough of that rant.

Now, for the reason I'm really posting on this post: The Palestinians are crying to the media about what a humanitarian crisis it is in Gaza, no food, no water, those mean old Jews, etc., etc., but it is all lies. This is but one example of the kindness of the Israeli's on the very people who wish to drive them into the sea:

And yes, people are praying for the people of Israel and their safety. One lady was standing on her balcony drinking coffee this morning and a Palestinian missle hit her directly.

Mike is right. Israel has been too patient and too kind. Who else would put up with homicide bombers climbing on their public transportation and live under that constant threat - all alone in the world. And no other nation in the world would stand for 11,000 or so missiles sitting on their border, aimed at them. We should have butted out and let Israel handle things long ago and maybe, just maybe, a lot of what is going on now could have been nipped in the bud in a lot of places, like Iraq and Iran, for instance.

The War must be expanded to Iran, which is the mastermind of all the problems there.
Ezekiel prophesied Iran will be one of the main power attacking Israel under Russia ( Ezekiel 38-39).

This is the best chance to remove Nukes in Iran, otherwise, Israel will regret about missing thebest chance, later.

    1) Yes. I think that would be the easiest way to support our ally and simultaneously eliminate the nuclear threat.

    2) God help us, but we would have to go there. God help this present generation. If that happens, I don't know how we'd avoid the draft.
