Serious question. Does anyone think there is such a thing as a Biblical moderate?
Yes, but the term is extremely variable just as are liberal and conservative.
For example, I am pro - life 100% basically a conservative platform. But I have stated that if I were in office and a bill came up to outlaw abortion except in the case of rape - I would vote for that bill. Some would say I was a moderate since I voted for exceptions.
Therefore, often it is important to realize the reasoning for voting. In my opinion, I want to stop as many abortions as possible.
Therefore, for that issue, am I an ultra-conservative, conservative, moderate, liberal, or ultra liberal?
Biblically, we see how many times Jesus spent discussing scripture with Pharisees who had spent their entire lives studying scripture. If anyone knew God's will, we would think they did. But Jesus often told them in essence, "No you don't know all the answers." To me, a Biblical moderate keeps that in mind.
