How Many on the BB Remember This Type of Spring Planting?

    Reminds me of when I was a kid. These photos was taken in the county where I grew up. I loved the horses and the smell of the good earth.

    Looks like you built your horses pretty big in the second picture. I grew up in the city/suburbs so there wasn't to much farming around us, and the little I did see, I never got to see it done this way.

    Just that one field looks like it would be a lot of work, even with a tractor. Farmers have always been hard workers, and I tip my toupee to them.

    Dad told me they used mules, up til the end of WWII. That's when the brothers told grandpa, a pretty notorious alcoholic and moonshiner, that he could get a tractor or go without.

    Our homestead was a bit more vertical, though.
