We live in a small town (5000 people) in southwest Wisconsin. There is not a Bible believing church in our county. We feel strongly that there ought to be. Historically, strong churches do not last long in this community. From what we know (having lived here 20+ years) pastors typically leave town suddenly or the church splits. With this type of history, is it "fair" to consider starting a church and calling a pastor? What steps would we take? We believe that, should a pastor come, then people would step forward to join the work with us. What can we do? What *should* we do?!
