I am Answering My Phone "Mitt Romney" From Now Through Tuesday

My family has a no frills (no caller I.D.) home telephone line. Virtually no one calls that line because we have cell phones. In the last couple of weeks we've been inundated with politically themed calls, be they pollsters, campaign workers, etc. Yesterday there were four calls. So from now through Tuesday I'm simply going to pick up the phone and say "Mitt Romney." No "hello" or anything else, just "Mitt Romney!"

I'm in Minnesota and if political telephoning is this bad here I can only imagine those poor souls that live in Ohio, Wisconsin, or Florida.

I love it, great idea. One thing I do, when I get a prepaid envelope for EITHER side, I tear up the letter, fill it with sand or dirt to make it heavy, then mail it back.

Love it! I've done this with credit card offers and the constant offers to switch internet service providers. Once I filled the envelope with pieces of roofing shingles. Got real heavy, that one.

I think I am going to start voting for the candidate that is the target of the most political attack mailers I get. For the last 3 weeks I have gotten an average of 6 political mailers a day. 1 or 2 are usually for someone and the rest are either against Romney or against Rehberg (a current House Rep running to take Tester's Senate seat). So, the name of the game is to vote for the least annoying. LOL

Had some fun with this on Sunday. Then today I figured I could have recorded the calls using an App on my Android phone. (Have gotten four calls so far today.)

Romney2 (Caller launched into spiel after my greeting, so I kept interrupting him until he acknowledged me. Had phone receiver next to my cell phone until I figured out to put it on speaker. Enjoy!)

Click download file, then open file to hear it. You don't need to save it to your hard drive.

My home phone (no Caller ID) is being deluged with calls from campaign workers, pollsters, robo-callers, etc. so I've gotten into the habit of blindly answering the phone, "Mitt Romney for President", and then seeing how the person on the other end of the line reacts. I've gotten 7 calls today. Here's a pretty good one.

You can hear the audio by clicking on "Download this File" then a window should pop up where you can choose "Play this File". You don't need to save it to your hard drive.

That was great, I loved it! Mitt Romney! Mitt Romney!

I haven't gotten one call like this, I kinda wish I could join in the fun.
