How does one who is biracial avoid sin? By remaining single?

I don't see how you can say it is wrong.
Bad idea most of the time? Sure but I can't prove from scripture that it is a sin.

Aren't you implying that being biracial is sinful in some way?

Nope, there's no way that's what Saggy's saying or implying. She's got something else up her sleeve here.

Saggy, you do realize that an interracial prson can usually find someone else of the same mix right?

For what it's worth, I doubt any of us married completely pure racially.

Interracial marriage is not wrong, unless a believer is yoked with an unbeliever. A child will not pay for the sins of his father, either. What are you getting at, Saggywoman?

    love,

Some people here at the board (not me) hold some level of "sin" to biracial marriage. Hence my question. If interracial marriage is wrong, how does someone of mixed race keep from sinning by marrying someone of a different race or mix?

As far as someone finding somone of the same mix, it depends on the mix. My mom is white but has indian in it, so no one is the same.

None of us are completely one culture any more.

As long as you marry a believer.

    2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Here's the grind: the Bible does not condemn interracial marriage this side of the cross, so the biracial is a normal as the rest of us (is anyone normal?).

(For Clarification, I do not hold that interracial marriage is wrong.)

Why is this on the BB?

Gimme' a break, on this one! That is a patronizing statement, to say the least.

Here, you have made a worthy statement worth considering, in part! I'm pretty sure not one person on this board can trace all their ancestry over a few hundred years, accurately, at best. Why not reverse this somewhat and ask how many can be so sure "they" are "completely pure racially"?

Something about the beam in one's eye vs. the speck in another's, I'd say.

There is more than enough "closet racism" and "bigotry" that keeps cropping up on the Baptist Board. Why add to it, in any form?? Sopranette and The Scribe have adequately and accurately answered the question, Biblically.

    [Edited out, on better judgment!]

Frankly, I hope the moderators kill this thread, as it deserves! And the sooner the better!

FTR, I am completly pure racially - It's known as "the Human race!"

I don't need a "nook and blankie", Joe. I'm sorry and I do apologize for my initial outburst, but this rubbed me the wrong way, after the hypocrisy and racist thread of about three weeks ago.

I understand. If it helps, I PM'd tinytim thanking him for his contribution to that thread. It helped open my eyes. Sometimes it appears certain threads are degrading downward while another person is gleaning something from it.

I am glad I could help you Joe...

And Saggy... What can I Say?

We all know you are not racist... You are a very kind person.

    It shows.

You are also full of curiosity... hence all the polls... thanks...

The answer has already been given in this thread. So I see no need to give my opinion, you all know what it is...

If we all would be filled with the love of Jesus, it will flow out to others, and these questions become mute.. because we will no longer look on the outside of the person, but look at the person through the eyes of Christ.

The English come from the Anglos and Saxons - thus Anglo-Saxon. After hundreds of years society totally accepts this.

    Salty

PS Hmm I do wonder if there are any Anglo or Saxons pure breads who believe in maintaining culture heritage by discouraging intermarriage?

A bread that is several hundred years old can't be all that good any more. ;)
