I've got 2 fairly easy questions, well the first one will be easy, but the second one may get some debate.... also, explain why you believe this way.

    1) If you died today would you go to Heaven? Why?

    2) If you died ten years from now will you go to Heaven? Why?

    1. Yes! Because I have repented of my sins and have received Jesus Christ as my saviour and Lord. And He gave me His word as God that when I receive Him He gives me power to become a son of God

    2. Yes! Because I have repented of my sins and have received Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. And He gave me His word as God that He will continue to do a work in me until that day--the Day of the Lord Jesus Christ

    1. Yes. My plea for entry to heaven is on the merits of Jesus, and his blood which covers my sins, and his righteousness.
    2. Yes. As the old hymn says, "My hope is build on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness."

    For both questions:

Because of God's Amazing Grace made possible through the death, burial, and resurection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Wow, 6 posts and no debate...
I was sure someone would come along and say that they don't know for sure, it all depends if they are good enough, or can endure.

Yes to both, why, because of God work of redemption in me. He is able, whether I die today or 10 years from now, to keep me safe and secure in His salvation.

I have a sweet hope in Jesus Christ that he shed his blood for me and I am kept in him until the time he calls me home to glory.

Yes, If I died today or ten years from now I would go to Heaven. Why? Because I have accepted Jesus into my heart and try hard to live to serve God's will daily.

This reminds me of a story call Geroge Street I heard from a website. I posted it sometime ago on the board, but it was about a man that lived on George street and each day he would hand someone a track and ask "If you died today, would you go to Heaven?"

    It's an amazing story!

    1. Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, His burial, and His resurrection.
    2. Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, His burial, and His resurrection. I am confident that ten years from now, I will still trust the same. If I don't, it is still all Jesus Christ, and I believe that He will never let me stop believing.

    Yes on both counts.

God set forth His salvation in His Son Jesus THAT whosover believes in Him should not perish but HAVE everlasting life...
...to as many as received Him (Jesus) it was to them He (God the Father) gave the right to be called the children of God...

I have believed in the salvation of Christ and received Him who desired to come to me not because I deserved anything other than His wrath but that He may bestowe upon me His grace indeed.

Not of things that I have done but all because of who His is. I lay my life into His Hands and rest in that salvation there.

Tiny Tim, the reason there is no disagreement on Salvation on this thread, Baptists don't twist and pervert Scripture to make it mean something it doesn't........but maybe those that do aren't up yet!

Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
    Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Eph 3:21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

You think we'll be stuck shopping at Walmart even in heaven? Or is there something you need before you go? (and how you figurin' on takin' it with you?)

    1. Yes, because when I was seven I realized I was a sinner and accepted Christ's sacrifice on my behalf.

    2. Yes, because when I was seven I realized I was a sinner and accepted Christ's sacrifice on my behalf.

    Grace, marvelous grace!

    I can see it now...
    Baptists are on aisle one
    Methodists are on aisle two
Pentecostals are in the sporting goods
Church of God is in electronics....

Oh... wait... Baptists have to be in the food aisle!!
