Take a young couple - he is divorced - she is attempting to complete her divorce. They have been a couple for well over a year. They do live together - and currently have a child together (and each have kids from they previous spouse).

They now realize they are not glorifying God by not being married.

Possible solution: have a (small) church wedding so they will be married in the eyes of God- that is even before the divorce is finalized. Obviously they will not be married in the eyes of the State (ie taxes, ect)

    Thoughts?

You say they NOW realize what honoring God means and want to do so?

Then they only have one choice. Separate and live apart until her divorce is final. Maybe one of them could move in with a parent, relative, or friend. They don't have to get a separate place that has to be paid for.

Don't move back in until they are married.

It will be difficult for a variety of reasons, but it has been done before and done successfully by people who realized their lifestyle was dishonoring the Lord - John Tesh and Connie Sellecca come to mind.

Would any of you pastors consider taking such action for a couple such as this?
