Has the discussion on Baptist Board influenced how you view the issues related to the KJV, especially KJVOnlyism?

Is the only result going to be that we prove how much time we are wasting?

Long before the BB(or the Internet, for that matter) came into being, I was convinced that KJVO was a false doctrine and a myth, due to lack of evidence FOR it and a mountain of evidence AGAINST it. All I've EVER seen on ANY of these versions debates is the same ole excuses, fishing stories, opinions, and guesswork, all of which was shot down soon as it appeared.

After over thirty years, now, I believe if the KJVOs had any evidence(not spin or excuses) to present, theyda done so by now.

How did you get all that from the poll choices? I read the questions and I am still trying to figure out how to answer. The last choice was to call seigfried an idiot, and I would never do that. If the Versions debates from the KJVOs are so painful for you, and leave you so bitter, then why not just let it lie?

Personally, I do not let the Versions debates bother me considering that we will not need any of the bibles in Heaven, and I have a hunch that there will be many there that will have taken varying stances on the debate. I can see Dr. Bob and Plain Ol Ralph sitting at the feast across from you and Michelle (six inch rule will be enforced of course) just a singing and having a great ol' time. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Of course, what if I am wrong, and no KJVOs make it to heaven. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    OK, I voted.

I selected #1. When I first visited BB, I believed that the KJV is the only acceptable English translation, and I'm STILL convinced that is true.

Why? Because if you want to be as holy as I am, then the KJV is the only acceptable English translation. I knew how holy I was before I came to BB, and I know how holy all of you after coming to this BB. Thankfully, I do not need scripture to back this up because it is my own personal observation.

BTW, I tried to vote more than once, but it wouldn't let me. What's up with that? In a true democratic process, a person should be allowed more than one vote.

I first became aware of the controversy in the 1960s when a distant cousing IFB preacher sent us newsletters slamming Good News for Modern Man.

Aside from that, I had been blissfully ignorant of the depth of the argument until I joined the BB. It had never been an issue in all the years and churches I had been in.

Praise God I don't have to join in these silly arguments, er, I mean, debates - I already know the truth, hallelujah! [IMG]

KJV - good enough for all my relatives down through the generations and it's still good enough for me. [IMG] :D

I will be in the Kingdom and willing to sit down with any (except Michelle). [IMG]

Of course, the Mansfield sect (christians go to hell, do not pass go, do not collect crowns) won't be there.

And I believe some KJVonly sect are genuinely saved in spite of their strange beliefs.

(And I'm sure some are wondering about God's grace if I am there!! :D

I looked for this option, but it was not there.
That is, I'm MORE convinced that KJVOism is not true.

The more I think about it, maybe I read it wrong.

Are you afraid of Michelle? </font>
Michellle should be afraid of herself. She admitted that her own husband does not agree with her. He sees her point of view as fallacious.

Are you afraid of Michelle? </font>
You know my humor by now, Askjo!

Michelle and I have the same sweet relationship of Elijah and Jezebel or John the Baptist and Salome.

"Head" for the desert or "head" for a platter . . .
