I just wanted to say that I am thoroughly enjoying some of discussions on this forum in particular the thread "Setterfield and variabe speed of light". I have a suggestion, though. Many people read this forum. Most of them are interestd laypersons who do not have a research science background or advanced degrees. I am a degreed mechanical engineer with a strong mathematical background and love for science. But several times I was just overwhelmed by the information overload in reading some of the posts. Maybe the threads can be a bit more concise and to the point. I realize that sometimes to make a point one must show a great amount of detail to show the logic of how they arrived at their conclusions...

Hey, if somebody out there has a question about some technical aspect, let them ask, I'll bet they get a lot of answers!

Sample: "I don't understand, what is a correlation coefficient? Can somebody explain that to me in simple terms?"

Don't bother telling ME, I already know.

ChurchBoy, it is hard to keep up sometimes. Please feel free to PM anyone or email me and I will link you to past discussions on the subject which will help set the stage.

As far as Barry's work goes, we have done everything we know how to do on his webpage to make it lay-understandable. There is a layman's summary Barry helped me write several years ago on the 'papers' page and then there is the entire discussion set-up as well where you can pick and choose your area of questioning and if Barry has not answered as fully as you like, email him at [email protected] and he will make sure he answers more clearly and completely until you understand a little better, anyway. His webpage is, again www.setterfield.org

You will also find some very good explanations of a number of things in the creation/evolution debate by some very qualified writers at www.trueorigin.org

For really long, technical posts, it might be helpful to precede the body of the post with a short summary paragraph outlining the high points.
