I wonder what the word for English in Greek was when English did not exist when the OT and NT was written?

Let's return to the topic of the thread.

In another thread Salamander hijacked, he made the assertion that God is settled on one English Bible translation when he said:

Of course when he was asked to provide Scripture to back his assertion, Salamander accused me of being dishonest and depraved, even though he was the one who made the assertion in the beginning...

Then, in the next sentence, he changed his tune, doing a complete 180 amd running like a scared puppy...

The original question was never answered with one shred of evidence by any of the KJVO supporters:

Apparently Salamander can't produce one verse that even remotely suggests God is settled on one particular English Bible translation despite his original claim. No other KJVO supporters have been able to produce any scriptural evidence to support Sal's claim. Are Sal and his cohorts confessing by their silence there actually IS no Scripture to support Sal's claim? Are the KJVOs giving up on Sal's false assertion that God is settled on a particular English Bible translation? Is anyone going to try to defend Salamander's claim? Or are you KJVOs trying to ignore Sal's claim and wish it would go away? Is there no consistency in KJVO land?

There is consistency like concrete--all mixed up and permanently set.
