I'm starting to think this is true. Last war was started in '03...now '07.

Beginning to seem as if something must be done in Iran, whether now or later. They cannot be allowed nuclear weaponry.

    Why not ?

What's the difference between North Korea and Iran ? They've both got lunatics for leaders.

How come Bush wasn't as hot about the North Koreans as he appears to be with this small runt in Iran ?

Don't get me wrong, but Bush to me at this point looks like the bully in school who goes after the frail looking ones.

Or, maybe, North Korea doesn't have what Iran has ?

    Oil ?

    Nahhhh.....I don't know. That's talk.

We can't send more American men and women into harm's way because somebody's got a big mouth.

Send in a small clandestine unit and extract that big mouth out of his safe haven and kill him somewhere, then let the world and the liberals wonder whoddun it.

Much better, and more economical, less bloodshed, too.

Admadinejad is a big mouth. But that's it. He has no real power. He is basically a figurehead. Does anyone really want to kill hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Iranians because one man likes to hear himself talk and watch other people react to the outrageous statements he makes?

To date Iran has not violated the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Therefore, there is no justification to attack/invade Iran. Unless Iran violates the NPT it should be left alone.

Is the life of your family and fellow American citizens, and Israel, worth "nahhhh...I don't know?"

Well, not mine. I want the administration, whomever it is to see to it that doesn't happen.

Yeah, the administration's intelligence info and that of other nations' turned out to be soooooooo correct about Iraq's WMDs, didn't it? Oh, that's right. It turned out to be oh soooooooooooooo wrong.

Anyone who continues to listen to the neocons' siren song for war(perpetual war for perpetual peace) - now concerning Iran - is a fool.

Over 3,000 of our fellow Americans have died in Iraq because we listened to the faulty intelligence info.

    NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I certainly hope you're right and we never have another attack on America, or Israel. But we most certainly can't behave as if we believe that, because the price is too high if you're wrong.

But not pursuing known terrorists and these radical Islamists is what is foolish.

I have to agree with Hillclimber and Ken, because there are two seperate issues here. One is the threat of terrorism and the other is honesty in government.

There is without a doubt a terrorist threat out there that has to be dealt with in a forceful and decisive manner. It would be much more effective to carry out that mission with less loss of life if we had honest and competent leadership at the federal level.

    Brother,

Look at it this way. What's gonna happen is gonna happen. We can bomb Iran and get that braggart outta the way, and then we can sit back and relax, bury our soldiers, renumerate their families, honor them on Vet Day and Memorial day, and next thing we know, a bomb can still blow off on us in one of our cities from a different direction.

Terrorists and terrorism is a threat we all have to live with. It ain't America's world and age anymore, that' s way back in the 50's and the 70's.

We gotta face up to the fact that half the world hates us, and maybe even those we call our friends hate us, and that even the most ordinary American citizen, who probably loves all men and women despite their creed and color, face the threat of being kidnapped and beheaded even for just being near the Middle East. If not for their dollars, then because of the kidnappers' politics.

In the meantime, our economy is not exactly a bed of roses, we're fighting two wars, one in Iraq, the other in Afghanistan, not to mention the covert wars probably going on right now as we speak, and we sure can't afford another one, unless we don't care about the coming American generations who will surely shoulder the coming costs of these wars in taxes and debts.

Now here we got this idiot who likes to grandstand, just like that other nincompoop South of us.

And then we got men trained to extract and kill, and maybe, juuuuussssst maybe, our CIA and DIA and whatever IA's we got workin' behind the scenes still got their "contractors".

If Bush really wants that bigmouth out, then put all those assets to work.

Less expense, easier to cover up, and more terrifying for the next hot air who takes the seat, and less explaining needed.

Because just like KenH said, there's this treaty, and it ain't been violated, and until it is violated and we attack, we are aggressors, invaders, and bullies, and we make more enemies in the world, and our families become less and less secure.

    1) If we are attacked again it will be similar to what happened on 9/11/2001. Any such attack will be perpetrated by a small band of people who have been living here a while - maybe legally, maybe illegally. Attacking Iran won't stop such an attack from happening.

    2) Yes, we must pursue al Qaeda and its Taliban allies. It was foolish for us to take our focus off of that task and to invade Iraq for what turned out to be a false reason.

Simplist, quickest, cheapest way to resolve God's purpose for Israel is to let Iran have their nukes.
