Is it just possible that the past election was God's will? I'm just asking a questions as I am reminded that God is in control. But then again...Sodom & Gomorrah being destroyed, Rome falling.....

Absolutely it was God´s will, if it were not it would have turned out differently (if His will was different)l! To suggest otherwise is to question God´s sovereignty. (Daniel 4:17, 25,26)

As to the future. We do not know what will happen. One thing this election demonstrates to us though is that we have been living in an anti-christian society for decades now and we are just continuing to see the fruits of this. How long will God allow it to continue? Who knows. But we do know what our responsibilities are as believers. Those never change no matter what culture we live in or how depraved society becomes.

No it has nothing to do with calvinism arminianism etc. God´s Word clearly states that He puts governments in power including wicked ones. Again I appeal to Daniel 4:17-26.

Do that mean you believe it was God's will for Obama to win?

Yes I do. Does that mean I believe that God approves of his sinful ideas (abortion, redefining marriage)? No. But God uses wicked men to accomplish His purposes.

Example: Judas- God certainly did not like Judas´betrayal and deceit, and He even held him accountable for it, however it was God´s will that Judas do what he did, even though he was responsible for his own wicked decisions.
