To yoru point, like I said earlier, I personally would probably question the Christian walk of a person who advocates elective abortion. But we're not talking about righeousness, or Christian living, or anything like that. But the OP asks strictly about salvation. A person's political view is not a litmus test for a person's salvific state.

A persons faith will determine their politics.

And a person's politics does not determine one's salvation.

Is it possible to be a Christian and look for points to dispute in postings by every brother or sister who writes anything?

Or, for that matter, is it possible for a person to be a Christian and accuse anyone who does not agree with them a liberal?

I agree. As a new believer, after many years of being pro-choice, I was still pro-choice for awhile. One's entire views, believe it or not, do not change overnight when you are saved as an adult, especially if your previous lifestyle was totally contrary to the Bible.

God convicted me over a year or so, using different materials, to change to pro-life. But it did not happen as soon as I was saved. Fortunately, God is more patient and has more grace than some Christians.

Interesting. I was watching the Sean Hannity interview withMichael Moore yesterday and Michael Moore pretty much said the same thing. The reason why he holds left-leaning socialist views is because he is a Christian.

One's salvific state is not contingent upon whether one consumes tobacco products.

Take it from me, who has a lovely hookah imported from Morocco on display in my home.

I should have reworded to "good Christian"

My dad just quit tobacco after almost 50 yrs. I think my mom got tired of him missing when he spit in the fireplace. I have not found it in me to try yet.

If you lived in the late 1700's/early 1800's, was it possible to be a Christian and support slavery? Perhaps "support" is the wrong word. The better question is probably: was it possible to be a Christian and not be politically anti-slavery?

Can you be a Christian and be a member of freemasonery?

Can you be a Christian and vote Democrat?

Can you be a Christian and say anything nice about a Democrat?

Can you be a Christian and watch Star Trek?

Can you be a Christian and have dinner with a homosexual? What about a homosexual democrat? What about inviting a homosexual democrat over to watch Star Trek, and accidentally saying something nice about him?

I would say possible with the exception of voting democrat and inviting the guy to dinner.
