I downloaded Spyware and had problems afterwards. I had to restore to the previous week. The tech on Spyware couldn't help me but then later asked me if I had enabled it to start-up with my computer. He said they had some problems with that. I had a funny error message every time I booted up.

I uninstalled it. I have Spam Guard through Bellsouth but get tons of porn every day. I report it to the Atty. General off a link Gina gave me earlier.

BTW.... I didn't realize I could right click and copy shortcut without opening the filthy site until I tried the other day. I'm getting porn that is advertising children with Daddy or little kids with each other. Someone who hates me signed me up for something! YIKES!

    dianetavegia,

You may want to check out three programs that really work well in combating spyware/adware:

    Spybot: Search and Destroy http://spybot.safer-networking.de/

    SpywareBlaster http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html

    SpywareGuard http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html

I did not include Ad-Aware because I have stopped using it. Also, since I installed SpywareGuard and SpywareBlaster, I have found that Spybot S&D rarely finds any spyware/adware on my computer. all three programs are freeware.
