    Is this for real?

    Sadly, I think it is.

If it's for real, it's a poorly written web page. If in the end, it's more bark than bite, then it's a poor testimony for the other good schools.

==It does not read like a college webpage that is for sure. The page reads more like a freshman level summary of each book. I am also curious how one book equals a doctoral level course. On top of that, Ryrie's "Basic Theology" is a good book but it is written at the popular level and not meant for doctoral students. It certainly was not meant to be a doctoral course in theology (PhD 437).

==I noticed that three out of six of the classes use "introductory" textbooks. Including Ryrie's book, thats four out of six. Usually doctoral level studies assume the student is well beyond introductory courses and texts.

==Yea, they are trying to confuse people into thinking they are connected to Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. The whole thing is a sham, no doubt. What is worse they state the following on their accreditation page:

"Although accreditation is not necessary for a Christian college, high academic standards and ethics are."

This "Liberty" does not live up to its own "high" standards. From the introductory level textbooks being used at the doctoral level to doctoral level courses only using one book this school is of low academic quality. They certainly are not demanding high academic standards of their students. Their ethics must also be questioned for the very reason you pointed out and because they are offering "PhDs" to "students" who have not done the doctoral level (PhD) academic work.

I have to wonder what type of Christian person "earns" a degree from such a "school". Anyone should be able to look at that and realize it is far from par.

    IT is real

The three page Doctorial Disertation I wrote was REAL!
The six books I read were REAL! (well, two were on cassette tape)
The multiple choice questions I took on the open book final of each class was REAL!

    DoctorED - it has a ring :love2:

When I googled the listed phone number, it showed either a two building school or else a Diploma Mill and some apartments.

There must be some users of these "schools". I'm sure they are not used by liberals!

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Yes, truly unethical.

I don't think any serious-minded Christian should get involved with such a school.
