Yes, and Hymenaeus and Philetus did the same thing in their day.

Funny thing about all this, Grasshopper and Kyredneck say they got proof from Scriptures all this happened in 70 A.D.

No, they didn't, yet they deny it (70 A.D.) is from extra-biblical resources when in fact you can only get this exact date outside of the Holy Scriptures. They read Josephus account then go to Scripture to interpret it, yet they write on here and say "Did Josephus say/write this?" and cut and paste verses as if within those verses it says 70 A.D., or as one, that inserts Josephus name into Scripture in place of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You're correct, this is Josephus doctrine. Strange thing is, this huge biblical prophecy and "fulfillment" has almost gone by in the world undetected, and people don't even realize the King of Kings is already reigning, invisibly. This "invisible" reign reminds me of this "...behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not." Matthew 24:26

I've been listening to much from preterists and about hyper-preterism, and also debates against such. What a sad sad religion brother, to them there is no resurrection, there is no judgment to come, Jesus resurrection was Spiritual, not bodily, (He only did that as an apologetic) and there will be no real physical reign, and this is the new heaven and earth right now.

Another thing, much of the NT doesn't apply to us in the case of preterism and hyper-preterism. Wonder who would want us to think much of the NT doesn't apply to believers today, and to feel a loss of hope?

    Keep the Faith brother.

    - Peace

    Good points.

I'm still waiting for the preterists on the board to answer my arguments from Greek exegesis, but all I got from two of them was that I rely on the Greek too much! On the Greek NT? Really!

According to them, I suppose, The Olivet Discourse, all of Revelation, etc. doesn't apply to us.

It's called "we can't prove by Scriptures it happend in 70 A.D. as we've claimed, so we resort to mocking and ridicule."

    Nothing more, nothing less.
