Warnings from Islam's 'messianic whirlpool'

More threats of destruction, this time with an apocalyptic twist.

An Israeli intelligence analyst sees a frenzy of jihadist Internet communications as part of a "dangerous Islamic messianic whirlpool" featuring a number of prophecies culminating in the coming of the "Mahdi," reports the latest issue of the premium online intelligence newsletter Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Some of the documents obtained in a sweep of Internet communications just before the attack on the Madrid trains are signed by an unknown sheikh – assumed to be a nom de guerre for Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or others in leadership in al-Qaida.

The communications make a number of predictions about world events pointing to "The coming of the Mahdi" – a messianic figure Muslims expect to come and lead them in victory against the infidels in the last days.

Here is what these communications foresee:

• Two European countries will be attacked.

• Another attack is planned against the U.S.

• Followers are asked to get rid of euros and as true Muslims replace them with gold.

• There will be an assassination attempt against a high-ranking Egyptian official.

• A mass gathering of jihad warriors is expected in the cities of the twin holy mosques Mecca and Medina.

• A divine signal will be given when three celestial stars will be aligned on one axis.

• The appearance of a new star, never seen before, will be in plain sight to all humanity.

• Pakistani President Pervez Musharaf and Yasser Arafat will be annihilated in the same month.

The list includes other apocalyptic predictions such as "the march of Islam through Russia, the return of Islam to Andalusia and a victory parade in Jerusalem with liberated Saddam Hussein at the lead. This will follow after a war in Syria and the assassination of King Abdullah of Jordan."

There is no specific time frame for the apocalyptic prophecy, according to G2 Bulletin sources. The most important aspect of the communications is the subsequent attack in Spain, and an important threat to the continental U.S.

The analyst says the Internet is now the most important tool used by the jihadi propagandists. Some of the material is clearly a warning to Muslims to distance themselves from possible target areas.

Further analysis suggests the second European country to be hit, according to the jihad spirit, is probably Italy or the Vatican. This is based on constant verbal attacks on the pope as an enemy of Islam and on rejection of Christian missionary movements in Africa and the Middle East. A direct threat is aimed against American missionaries and indeed some were attacked last week in Iraq.

I no longer believe the religion of the anti-Christ will be the Ecumenical church headed by the RCC like I once believed. The "fastest growing religion in the world" according to the "experts" who study these things is - Islam.

Is it possible for Islam to become the official "religion" of Rome by coercion? Kill the Pope, put a "prophet" in his place, say...a Muhammed who "just came back to life?"

Just a thought....

But even if they "waste" the pope and put one of their monkeys in---wouldn't they still be a part of the RCC??----I can see where you're comin' from, SheEagle----but I think that somehow---the RCC will "sign on" with the muslims---become a united front setting stage up for the goat thats called AntiChrist!

Consider this (from an Internet site):

But this could be true and the king could still be a Muslim, and Mystery Babylon could still be a revived Babylonian Empire dominated by Islam. The Church of Rome has been subtly surrendering to Islam ever since the end of the Crusades. For example, there is a Muslim mosque in Rome, but there is no Roman Catholic Church in Mecca. In fact, if a Roman Catholic attempted to enter Mecca, he would be killed. This contrast is not without significance. Islam is presently growing faster than Christianity generally.

Police find videotape with terror threats to Rome

Italian police have found a video tape, thought to be from Al-Qaeda, containing threats to destroy Rome, right-wing weekly magazine Panorama said on Friday.

"The person who will destroy Rome is already preparing his swords. Rome will not be conquered by words but by force and weapons," Panorama quoted the message on the tape as saying.

The video was discovered at a flat in the northern city of Cremona suspected by investigators of being used as a base for an Islamic extremist group, the magazine said.

The threats came from Sheikh Abu Qatadah Al Falastini, a Jordanian accused of belonging to Al-Qaeda who was being held in prison in Britain, it added.

"Rome is the cross and the West is the cross. And the people of Rome are the patrons of the cross. Muslims' target is the West. We will open Rome," the message continued.

The interpreter who provided the anti-terrorist police with an Italian version of the tape said "open" was a historic term meaning "seize through force and bloodshed by destroying and subjugating the people", Panorama continued.

Daily newspaper La Stampa said investigators were taking the threats seriously. They come nine days before the Christian world celebrates Easter.

Panorama said the video had been discovered at a flat that Italian investigators believe to be the headquarters of an Islamic extremist group led by a Tunisian called Mohammed Trabelsi. The 35-year-old had been arrested in Cremona in 2003 and was being held in prison in Milan, it added.

Panorama alleged Trabelsi had warned: "We want to hit Italy because that dog Berlusconi has supported that dog Bush", in references to the Italian and US leaders.

Militant Islam (there is no such thing as "moderate" Islam) is a very real enemy to Western Civilization and to Christianity.

I have little doubt that we have only witnessed the tip of the iceberg. Japan's fanatical culture/religion led to WWII and a world in chaos until it was totally crushed.

It will happen again.

Well, it's 'nice' to know that radical Islam has it's own version of the Turner diaries.
It does give the impression that Spain was attacked more because Moslims are still pissed of about the reconquista of 1492 than for the Spanish presence in Iraq.
And that hammers one point home, for those who still needed it.
NO country is save. All of the counties that make up what we call Western Civilization have something in their pasts that can be used as a 'proof' that they are great enemies of Islam and have been for centuries.

It isn't quite France, but this ought to have the evil section of the baptist board celebrating nonetheless.

The city of Rome itself has no official religion.
In theory Islam could become the new state religion of Italy, but most of the Italian populatian would have to be removed first. Cultural Catholicism is a very strong part of the Italian national identity.

The Mahdi is in a very literal sense the Islamic version of the second coming of Christ. The Mahdi is often identified as the prophet Jezus (yes they mean our Jezus) returning to break all crosses, bowing down in prayer in Mekka, smiting the infidels etc... You know the drill.
