i had the chance to check out the Shepherd's Psalm in the 1611 KJB--(critical apparatus in parentheses):

    verse 2 "greene paftures"
CHANGED FROM: (Heb. paftures of tender graffe)

    verse 2 "ftill waters"
CHANGED FROM: (Heb. waters of quietneffe)

    verse 5 "anointeft"
    CHANGED FROM: (Heb. makeft fat)

    verse 6 "foreuer"
CHANGED FROM: (Heb. to length of dayes)

does the same standard for literalism n verbal inspiration applied to MVs apply also to the 1611?

I find it interesting that the KJV has this much dynamic equivalence, especially specifically documented by the translators themselves. [IMG]

    GOD FORBID!

Thanks for the good reminder of the fluidity of our English language - 1611 or 2003! [IMG]
