I have based my opinion of him on him being health and wealth, a prosperity preacher. Which si a false gospel.
I see you take verses out of context, changing their meaning.

Through Jesus, I am no longer a slave to the spirits of fear and doubt. I guess your guess is wrong. How does it feel to be wrong so many times a day?:sleeping_2:

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables

Careful, there, you'll be accused of "taking verses out of context and changing their meaning" like I just was.

Well how about enlightening all of us with the correct context then.

    This board cracks me up.

J.D. did a fine job putting the verses you posted back in context:

I know he did & I agreed because I never took them out of context, but apparently somebody read more into my post than what I wrote and didn't bother to read JD's post. It happens. Just because someone might have a different POV is no reason to level false accusations. I kinda feel like Joel might feel. Except he's richer.

Osteen uses those same verses to prove God wants no believer to suffer ailments, and wants us all to prance through the flower fields in utter glee. That's the furthest thing from Scripture one can get.

I have never heard him preach anything about prancing through flower fields in utter glee. And I have heard him talk about people who have suffered ailments but kept looking to God for strength and courage instead of focusing on their ailments.

Thanks, Revmitchell. As a preacher 2 Tim 4:1-5 is my call to arms. It has that double-edge sword effect, cutting going and coming.
