John Piper - on the prosperity gospel

Very good message!

The prosperity gospel is straight from hell.

 

Those folks get rich at the expense of their followers. It works for them but not their followers. They get what they want. I wonder how many will be brought down when Grassley's committee is done.

 

Most likely none.

Gal. 1:8-9 (KJV) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

 

I've yet to hear any of that crowd address the sin problem we all have.
Just money money money, blessing blessing blessing, seed seed seed.

I have the entire lecture that Piper delivered in Birmingham, Alabama. Piper is waging a holy war against the "prosperity gospel."

In the prosperity gospel, God is nothing more than the heavenly Santa claus.

The first time I heard Piper's message on PG a few weeks ago, I was overwhelmed with emotions because he spoke with the same raw emotions I felt about the PG. Since then I've discovered that there are plenty of reputable pastors speaking out against the PG but they aren't getting any air time in the big media.
