    Eccl 11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these [things] God will bring thee into judgment.

    Isn't this verse dealing with just that?

    Is judgement always thought to be of the negative nature?

    Here's what the HCSB brings to light:

    9 Rejoice, young man, while you are young,
    and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth.
    And walk in the ways of your heart
    and in the sights of your eyes;
    but know that for all of these things God will bring you to judgment.

    I believe the point here is to enjoy life. Too often we miss out on the many flavors and textures God has given us as we pursue a course of unnecessary asceticism. In so doing Solomon notes here that while we do this it must be in the pathway of following God's moral commandments.

    I believe Scripture often (if not always) speaks to multiple areas of our lives. This is another example of how that happens. Just my take. :)

    very good "take"!

    Please pray for my computer, I think it crashed.

    I've only been able to come to our local library to go on the net since the other day.

    I've asked some people who work on them and they said it probably has and they can save the hrad drive if I bring it to them.

    everything else seems to be ok with it, but getting on the internet and a couple of other things will NOT work.
