I guess another way of saying what I did so poorly in the previous posts would be in the form of a question.

Why can't we have a modern English Version of the Bible based onn Scrivener's 1895 text (which even Dr Ruckman uses) that everyone could/would accept?

One that would be faithful to both the Received Text as well as faithful to the intent of the "koine" - "common" language of the people.

Personally I believe it will happen if the Lord tarries much longer.

You are probably right. Maybe someday there will be a modern english translation that will be acceptable to the vast majority of Christians. But.....I sure hope Jesus comes for us before then!

Actually, anyone who dares post with a little humility on either side of the issue (Be it Hank, Chris Temple, or Brother Glen, will get attacked by the pugnacious elements from either side.

I'm wondering out-loud why the MV authors/publishers who use the Wescott and Hort Text can't come out with a Scrivener Text edition?
Amend in place the WH variants with the TR reading (including 1 John 5:7).
Then one could purchase according to one's texual conviction/preference.

I would really like to see an NIV TR based English Bible.
